"Just got back from Chateau Vaucluse having spent a wonderful week with friends and family at this beautiful property. Many thanks to the very gracious owner, the hospitable caretakers and not least the chef, who provided 2 great 4-course dinners! This is the 6th Chateau I've booked over the last 10 years and this is by far the best for many different reasons: 1. The location, in the middle of hundreds of acres of vineyards in Cotes du Rhone on a hill just outside a beautiful old village, is spectacular. 2. The property is beautiful and the attention to detail is fabulous. Everything is very well laid out - the pool is next to the Bar-B-Q which is next to the kitchen. On those beautiful summer evenings in Provence, there's nothing better than wining and dining outdoors on the terrace overlooking the beautiful countryside. 3. The bedrooms and bathrooms, just like the rest of the house, have everything you need. Although it's a very old property, all the amenities everywhere, are super modern and function extremely well. 4. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped for both indoor AND outdoor cooking. We were 12 adults, a teenager and an infant. A cot and high chair were provided for the infant. There was a pool alarm, which was great security, plenty of outdoor and indoor games, lounge chairs and couches/umbrellas for total relaxation. I could go on but there lacked for nothing! Needless to say, the week went by exceedingly quickly!!"

"We wanted a family holiday with our 20mth Grandaughter in South of France and Ivoire looked just what we were looking for. On arrival we were greeted by Bruno, who had lovingly restored this old farmhouse and it was so beautiful. He had tast fully decorated every room in whites which accents of brown, gold, black no grey. All appliances were good quality and bathroom fitting top notch! We had a beautiful pool and enclosed courtyard which was safe for our granddaughter. We found it hard to choose where to eat as tables and chairs were placed in different areas of the garden. Bruno greeted us to show us where and how to use all the appliances, every room having its charm. He obviously loves this villa. There were some very interesting item of art and pottery which turned out to be his own design as he is a local artisan potter. We would recommend this villa as a must if you want a peaceful retreat. Salernes was the nearest town which had a good selection of shops including 2 artisan Boulangeries and supermarkets outside the town centre. We experienced extremely high temperatures up to 37 degrees so the pool was much needed. Well done to Bruno we would definitely recommend."

"My family have all left Villa Emeraude after the most lovely week. We simply loved your villa and could not fault anything, except for the fact that the TV did not work!! But the good news was we were spared having to watch the World Cup final, which none of us were particularly keen to sit through. We were able to watch the Wimbledon Mens’ Final on our iPad and for the rest of the week, we were so grateful not to have the use of it! We spent our time together around the pool and exploring the local area. It could not have been a happier week for us. All members of the family were thrilled with our holiday and happily we did not have a single argument or grumpy moment! Gloria was just such a lovely person to have there to help us when we needed her. She cooked us the most delicious dinner on our last night but other than that, she was such a delightful person to be able to draw on. Villa Emeraude is a joyful place to be and in which to relax. Thank you for letting us use it; and through you thank you to Gloria for being the most delightful and lovely person to have there to support us. Our holiday would not have been so joyful without her there!"

"Arriving at the villa literally felt like stepping into heaven. My family and I went for a two-week stay past June. We had the perfect environment: sunny, breezy & surrounded by the smell of rosemary and jasmines. The house is large, comfortable & has all the appliances and comforts you might need to enjoy a wonderful and relaxing stay in Provence. Homy yet elegant decor, the house is very comfortable but we specially appreciated the various outdoor spots to enjoy sun or shade all around the fort and in the garden. The superb pool still was the main hanging out spot, especially with the pool house allowing to have meals there. The polygons rivera mall , which is a short 8 minutes away allows all the shopping and supermarket options necessary. (as well as a wonderful, enormous, shopping selection and a casino for players ). We appreciated the natural air circulation in the house and rooms, which almost made the air-con un-necessary! 100% recommended. Will definitely return."

"This 11th century Templar fortress, set in the plunging foothills of the Alps, by the side of a lake, and with great views of the country all around, has been renovated to a very high level of comfort, with three self-catering apartments. We stayed in the middle-size apartment (the Saint Pierre) which includes two big bedrooms and bathrooms, plus extra sofabeds in the living-room, a well-appointed kitchen and everything you need to make yourself comnfortable. Despite some bad weather, we found the place very cosy and when it cleared up, the surroundings were really interesting to explore, with fantastic walks, and lots of good side-trips. There's also, for those who like it, the possibilitity of doing kayaking, para-gliding, etc. The village near the castle (st Andre des Alpes is very good for everything you need, with an excellent butcher, fruit and vegs, cake and bread shops, a small supermarket, and restaurants, as well as all services."
