"we booked for a 4 night new year break arriving 30th December at 230pm , we returned home the following morning at 930am on 31st December . The cottage was very cold despite heating on . The bedroom was to small for the size of bed and my husband burnt his leg getting out of the bed to go the bathroom as there was a tiny space between wall and bed. . The bathroom was uncomfortably small. there was no heating in the hall or on landing meaning everytime u came up or down stairs or was freezing and u had to keep living room door closed. It was advertised as having freeview tv and wifi we couldnt get either and were told on return home its due to area but this wasant stated in the write up .have stated in numerous 1 bed cottages/barn conversions lodges and static caravans and never had any problems with size or heating. In the guest book there were several reviews mentioning heating insufficient for the cottage . there are nicer accomodations to visit and spend your monedy on I wouldn't recommend this cottage to couples."

"We had a fantastic Christmas in S18236, back in the village that I used to live in. It was a lovely surprise to see that a decorated Christmas tree had already been put up for our arrival, which contributed to the cosy feel of the cottage. The cottage was really well equipped with everything that we could possibly need, including an iPhone charger! The location was perfect too and we had a lovely walk over the moors to Haworth on Christmas Eve. Plus the Cottontree Inn at the end of the road was a great option to be able to meet friends for a drink. The top floor bedroom is great but the stairs were very steep and took some getting used to. It would not stop us from going back as everything else about the cottage was so homely and inviting. We will return and I can strongly recommend the house for anyone wanting a lovely base to explore and for families like us with children (ages 8 & 10)."

"This is one of the nicest cottages I have ever had the pleasure to stay. The owners were lovely, friendly and helpful. Home made cake ready for us on arrival was very much welcome. Our Labrador had a great time running about with the owners dog. Great walks from the door, (or as we did) got on the train to Bentham and walked back.Kirby Lonsdale was a great town with independent shops, pubs and restaurants, not forgetting "Booths" on the edge of the town if you required anything. It was perfect, we only stayed three nights, not long enough and will definitely go back this year. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"We loved our stay at S73400. We stayed over Christmas and it certainly delivered the 'get away from it all' break that we hoped for. Warm and cosy with plenty of hot water, it had just about everything we needed. The bottle of wine was very welcome.Willis and Jackie couldnt have been more welcoming and helpful. Wennington is a lovely village and we and our dog enjoyed walking along the river. The Tatham Bridge Inn is walkable, but we didnt walk there as there are no pavements and the traffic was going a tad too fast! It is a great base to explore the area and we would definitely choose to stay here again."

"A spacious apartment in the centre of this friendly village. The property has a large double bedroom, a second good sized double room and a small single room. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath. The open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen is comfortable and light and airy. The kitchen appears to be well equipped but to be honest we didn’t use it as there are two very welcoming pubs in the village serving good food and real ales. There is also a lovely tea room which serves an excellent breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break in the S18242."
