"Spacious, well-equipped property ideal for large groups (we were a family of 15 including 2 senior citizens, one person with mobility restrictions but able to manage steps & 8 children aged 3-13 years). The property was nice & clean, with comfy beds, a good number of toilets/bathrooms with reliable hot water & heating. A downside is the distance between kitchen & dining room but there is a hostess trolley/plate warmer & large griddles for keeping food warm so it is possible to work around. All rooms have double beds except one twin room & one triple room (double plus single) so some children had to share a double bed & 2 others had camp beds because they didn't want to share. If a couple of double beds could be exchanged for zip & links it would increase room flexibility. However, as we booked this property somewhat last minute, we were willing to accept the sleeping arrangements as they were."

"The lodge overlooks the fishing lake and the view from the decking is absolutely beautiful. Great to sit out and just relax and enjoy watching the ducks, and the fishing. The lodge is very nice, open plan sitting/dining area/kitchen, very light and spacious with two big windows, one a patio, to enjoy the view. There are two twin bedrooms, adjacent bathroom consisting of toilet, basin and shower cubicle, the third bedroom with king size bed and dressing area with plenty of storage and hanging space leads to en suite with toilet, basin and shower cubicle. Bed linen and towels very clean, beds comfy. Plenty of hot water. Remember to take some coat hangers as there are only a few supplied. The only negative point I have to make is that the two sofas are well used and not at all comfortable, they do need replacing."

"Lovely place to visit, unfortunately there was a vast amount of flies within the property upon arrival I appreciate this is more than likely due to the property been aired out before arrival, time of the year and location however this was extremely of putting. There was absolutely no phone reception which was lovely however there was no map or directions to any local attractions or the local pub which was difficult to locate without the use of our phones, perhaps including a local map or some postcodes for the local pubs and attractions for future guests. The oven did not work which I would advise having someone look over especially at this time of the year when bbqs will not be necessary."

"Brilliantly unique accommodation with extremely helpful staff. There were 3 of us staying in a one bedroomed bunker, my young son using the sofa bed. However, being restricted to 2 chairs at the dining table was slightly inconvenient, but only as we had the usual great British weather - plenty of seating outside! We booked with Hoseasons who advertised the use of wifi and DVD / CD player, which was not supplied. Not a problem for us but bit of a let down if you really expected to use these facilities. Not sure if this is was an advertising error on Hoseasons part. Really quiet and relaxing with good surrounding wildlife, would stay again."

"Location is nice although lack of phone signal inside the property caused us some issues, the wifi was not very good & we struggled with thisBeds were comfortable & property was warm, we did have a cold day when the boiler had gone off overnight & took a long time to warm up againOwners were helpful, although obviously also struggle with the phone signal as we had to leave messages a couple of timesOutside the hot tub desperately needs some kind of fence for privacy, people living next door walking past it to their vehicles spoilt the relaxing experience we had hoped for, also view from the tub was rubbish bins & work vans!!"
