"It gives easy access to Beverly, (market days Wednesday and Saturday), and Hull, (check out The Deep and the museums). We were able to have an extended family bbq afternoon with 11 people because of the ample space, lots of crockery etc. an excellent kitchen, a big bbq and outside furniture for all of us. It has space for the children to run around and play football, although there was fun retrieving the ball from the ditch several times! S3513 is off the road; I read a comment about the traffic, but we found no problem with noise. Yes, when you are sat outside you can hear everything, but other than short commuter times, this was the occasional tractor and empty buses. The accommodation is disabled friendly but not built for the disabled, (it doesn’t claim to be either), but if you make the owners aware they will provide a seat for the downstairs wet room shower, (which by the way, was excellent), and they provide a movable suction grip, which can be used to help the infirm in the bathroom. There are one or two minor things able bodied people don’t always see, but I have pointed them out to the owners. If you have anyone partially sighted the three small steps for the area outside the back door can be difficult to distinguish. However, don’t let this put you off. My parents are 88 & 82 and they loved the place and found it very friendly for the unsure on foot. My severely autistic nephew loved the freedom of the paddock to kick his ball around, and the two resident adults and five family members who visited at various times all enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and being able to sit out and watch the buzzards and kites."

"This is the first time we have booked with Sykes Cottages, this was a last minute booking in an area we have visited many times before (most recently May 18) the accommodation was very clean and well presented. We booked the accommodation for the Mother in Laws 73rd Birthday. There was those little extras that the owner had provided that were really appreciated, the welcome pack, the greetings card welcoming the group, a selection of reusable bags for life to do any shopping with and the local paper, which we have never had anywhere else before. We even had a visit from an owl trust volunteer to check the owl box in the barn,(which we did not mind) an owl was spotted several times throughout our stay flying around the property. We can't wait to get back to the area."

"My partner & 3 Bassett Hounds are staying in The Chapel cottage for the 2nd time & have already booked in advance 4 October 2014. This is lovely first class accommodation, facilities are good, fabulous wood burner, but as of yet have not reaped the benefit as its been warm enough without it. You get a lovely welcome hamper, towels to use on the beach, your first wood pack, towel quality is excellent! Close to dog friendly beaches, direct routes to Bridlington, Scarborough & our favourite place of all time Whitby. We couldn't ask for better, & highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in such lovely surroundings."

"We received a warm welcome from the owners who showed us round the property and told us about the surrounding area. The cottage was lovely, very clean and comfortable with a lovely walled garden. The area is very peaceful and relaxing and Hornsea and the whole coastline was very pretty. Our dog Ben (a black labrador) loved the beaches and having a swim in the sea and its a very dog friendly area. I was glad I took my nightlights as even though the owner had provided one it is very dark there in the autumn/Winter evenings. We also had some lovely meals out in Whitby and Scarbourough which are not very far away."

"The location and surroundings of S3912 were so quiet, peaceful and picture perfect. From the moment we arrived, we slipped into that relaxed feeling that sometimes takes a few days to fully achieve on any holiday, but not at S3912, that lovely relaxed holiday feeling was instant. It was the perfect "get away from it all" location in the most beautiful, back to nature, countryside surroundings. I felt like a character in the old fashioned TV programme, The Darling Buds of May! It was so peaceful and pretty, the only sounds we heard were the wonderful array of birds visiting the garden each day - simply lovely!"
