"S24506 is a delightful place to stay. There are a number of interesting places to visit within easy driving distance, including Leeds Castle and Sissinghurst, and many more further afield.Teresa, the lovely helpful owner suggested that if we planned to visit Canterbury Cathedral we should try to attend Choral Evensong on the Sunday afternoon, this we did and it was a very memorable experience. The weather was mixed but we enjoyed our few days exploring the beautiful Kent countryside, with such a lovely warm and comfortable base to return to.There are a number of places to eat in the area, but as we had been on our feet all day we chose to eat in having stocked up at Waitrose in Tenterden(which is delightful) and about 20 minutes away. The kitchen is very well equipped, and looks out onto the owners pretty garden and duck pond. The owners have provided outdoor furniture and in fine weather this must be a delightful place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. The very comfortable leather sofas were much appreciated after sightseeing and also the large bath! The bathrooms like the rest of the house are immaculate, soft fluffy towels and lovely bed linen.Teresa has thought of everything and the treats left for us were a lovely surprise after a long journey. For anyone looking for a peaceful, immaculate and comfortable place to stay,we would recommend S24506 and look forward to returning next year."

"This building has been newly refurbished to a high standard. They've thought of every detail you might need. The decor and fittings say 'designer' and 'style' wherever you look. There's plenty of room in the main living area; kitchen (with island worktop), dining area with glass table, lounge with L-shaped sofa and another glass table. The kitchen is fully equipped and all the plates, trays, cutlery, white goods (incl. dishwasher) etc are brand new. The master bedroom has ensuite shower, and there is a communal downstairs bathroom with bath too. The upstairs bedroom can be accessed by the internal staircase, or you can use the external one. One wall is mostly glass and patio doors, so the place is very light. It has Velux windows in the roof. The owners, who live in the barn next door, on the other side of the fence, are charm itself."

"A lovely spacious cottage with a very relaxed feel (and obviously very well run), which made a perfect family base for our daughter's wedding at Boughton Monchelsea Place nearby. Everything we could possibly need - and a very generous welcome pack of treats to eat and drink - the bottle of Prosecco was wonderfully welcome at a family supper after a day of setting up for the wedding! the bedrooms were all very comfortable and the bathrooms have proper efficient showers and that enormous bath! And the open plan living room gave us plenty of room to spread out and relax. Our only regret is that we missed meeting the owners as we had to leave before the end of the week to get the wedding gear back to London.Thank you for a great stay."

"Lovely cottage with a great garden which was a useful addition even in the middle of winter. Christmas lights and a mini christmas tree were thoughtful additions and appreciated by our little one. The owners and all of the staff in the Fordwich Arms were really lovely and helpful and this all created a very laidback and pleasant atmosphere. Very short drive into Canterbury and a good range of shops locally. The kitchen was well equipped to cope with a festive goose and all the trimmings and the fridge freezer was a good size too which always helps. Comfortable beds and a good shower with plenty of towels completed the perfect stay."

"We were a family group ranging from 19 to 90 and other family members joined us for a tea party. The house accommodated us easily in spite of the rain. It was great fun to cook on an Aga, especially when we were allowed to use produce from the garden. The second toilet was invaluable. Sarah was a lovely 'host', very knowledgeable when we needed her. We took up her offer of a tour and it was really interesting to hear about the recent history of the site. The bungalow suited us perfectly and is a great location for days out in Canterbury (walkable), Margate, Romney Marsh etc."
