What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Kent To Rent.

"We found the owners to be welcoming and friendly and happy to offer advice about the area, they met us on arrival and shower us around the property. At first glance the property seemed fine although the furnishings are dated and it is one of those rentals that seems to be equipped with cast is from the owners home.Cleanliness was really the issue with this property, it was poor throughout particularly if you looked under the beds or deliver down the cushions in the lounge - the fridge was really dirty unfortunately. The whole property needs a deep clean and regular cleaning and really needs refurbishing with new equipment and furnishings. The property would also benefit from some visit blinds as the vertical blinds fitted don't block out any light on the mornings. The bathrooms are relatively modern but the electric shower in the en-suite was hotels and the shower in the main bathroom was blocked and didn't drain away. The best feature about the property was the hot tub which was very welcome.Location wise the cottage is nice, located deep in the woods, the nearby village has a corner shop which is well stocked and a pub which is ok but the night we visited the service was dreadful. In summary, we enjoyed our visit but the cottage needed a lot of improvements, it very much felt like a very basic, rather deficient cottage which is being rented at very much a premium price, don't let the high price to you into thinking this is going to be something special...."

"This was an ideal location for a restful holiday with our dogs. The owners were very friendly and it was great to meet their alpacas, geese horse, the dog and the cats as we are great animal lovers. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped, although some aspects are a little "tired". The worst thing for us was the exfoliating towels!!!!They were clean but past their sell by date! Hopefully next year they may replace these. Also there were not many instructions about things in the cottage and other people had had trouble working the bath plug. It is just a few little things but they do make a difference in one's perception of the let. We would be very happy to return."

"S13653 exceeded our expectations. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The owner greeted us with a warm lemon cake and invited us to feed the animals later that afternoon to the delight of the children ( and the adults!)The cottage was so cosy and everything inside is to a good standard. The location is perfect for visiting Canterbury and Howletts zoo but also rural enough to really feel 'away from it all'. Thoughtful gestures like leaving out a bag of goodies on the doorstep for the children on Halloween and allowing us to collect duck eggs for our own use made this particular cottage one of the most memorable holidays we have had. We will return! "

"Although in a lovely position, and a good layout for a holiday cottage, we would not return. The standard of cleanliness was poor, the furnishings were 'tired', the fridge was incredibly small for 4 people (and had a mouldy orange stuck to the back wall), instructions absent, pole for velux windows absent, quite bizarre very high switches for shower, towel rail and extractor fan. Etc..... The parking was OK, but beware the owners if you park 'poorly'! Also beware no Wifi, no mobile signal, and no emergency landline provided! A shame, it could be a lovely place with some thought and updating."

"My wife Doreen, our son Austin who has Down Syndrome and I spent 10 nights (13th January to the 24th) in S13572 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The tranquil setting was perfect, the owner was friendly, helpful and approachable. We have only complimentary things to say about the cottage, there were no negatives at all. Our two little dogs enjoyed their twice daily walks on the common as much as I did. Despite the freezing weather, we were lovely and warm, thanks to the electric heaters. We will definitely be booking Courthope Cottages again and in fact have booked a week this Christmas."
