"We had a wonderful stay in S50317 with our two sobs ( aged 6 and 14 years). It was a bit fiddly to find, but that was more because the Sat Nav took us in via the town centre streets and not the back roads as I had expected. However the house couldn't be more perfectly placed. It took us only a minute to hit the high street and the beach only a minute or two more. Everything we needed was such a short walk away and yet we could sit in the garden and hardly hear any noise ( other than the seagulls!). The house on arrival was spotless. We have stayed in a different holiday house every year for the last thirteen years and this one was one of the cleanest we have stayed in. And it was so comfortable. We all felt at home straight away. The welcome package was much appreciated, especially the chocolate cake! Everything else we needed was found after a search of the cupboards. The extra seating area in the garage was a nice surprise. My only criticism, and it's a small one, is the glass doors on the bedroom doors. It made privacy in issue, particularly with our teenage son, and also let two much light into the boys room, which disturbed our youngest son. We had to put our car blanket over the door which then meant the door couldn't be closed properly, which then meant the sounds from the living room disturbed him at bedtime. Also the downstairs toilet is actually outside but was still very clean and the weather was mostly kind to us so not a problem.Again, small issues. It certainly wouldn't stop us from staying at S50317 again, or from recommending it most highly."

"We were greeted with a warm welcome and shown around so we knew how everything worked. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were a nice touch, as was having salt, pepper and a few other bits in supply. Parking is in the road on a first come first basis, but we didn't find this a problem and always got a space at varying times of the day. Inside the house you feel like giants with the quaint low ceilings - but don't worry - there is no banging of heads or feeling like the place is small. On the contrary it feels very spacious, there is plenty of room, and everything was so clean, warm and cozy - it was a great place to come home to after some very long walks. We were not lucky with the weather the first three days, but to be honest, it was just lovely coming back to the cottage after dodging the rain in the morning, sitting on the landing room reading the Sunday papers, and hunkering down for the evening. The beds were really comfortable, and the utility area was very handy for walking boots and wet coats. In warmer weather the outside seating area would have been super. We loved sitting around the table of an evening playing scrabble with a glass of wine, but you are only a short walk away from the centre of Deal if you are after eating out in the many lovely bars and restaurants. The fish and chip shop around the corner is a must, and the staff are very friendly. Deal is a really good place to stay; it’s a good base, but is also full of good stuff to see and do. We would definitely recommend S98271."

"S13567 sits in a very peaceful neighbourhood with which we felt very much at home. The house has plenty of room and was very clean, with ample room to park the car on its own drive. There is a nice secluded garden to the rear of the house, which is totally inaccessible from the front/side, thereby making it really safe for children. The only comment I would make here is that there are two very large steps down to it from the conservatory. The house was very comfortable throughout, although the beds could be considered as being a little on the low side. Home entertainment systems were well provided for and there was also a nice welcome pack, which included a refreshing bottle of wine.As we are likely to have need of visiting this area of Kent more than two or three times a year, we would have no hesitation in booking S13567 if it is available."

"We have just returned home from a wonderful week at S26658. We were made to feel so welcome by the owner . The cottage is beautiful, very clean and all effort has been made to make it feel homely and comfortable. Everything in the cottage is of a good quality and the owners have made sure that you have everything needed to make your stay just right. The location is great and not too far to travel for days out. The cottage has a book on the local history and we would recommend a read of it it to get a feel for the village and the property. If you want to get away from the noise and traffic, listen to the birds while watching the vines grow, and have a peaceful relaxing break, this is just the place."

"The cottage was clean and well equipped. However the sofa's were uncomfortable, the TVs was very old and the batteries in the remote were dead and there were no replacements so we had to purchase our own. The garden was unkempt and grass not cut or hedges trimmed. A tree fell down across the front path during our stay which could have resulted in a nasty out come if we had been on the path at the time. Chalkpit Cottage has charm and lots of character but the outside aspect is disappointing due to the derelict state of the one on the other end of the trio. Overall it's a little tired and needs updating. We did enjoy our stay nonetheless."
