"Beautiful converted longbarn in a stunning location. It has a large wrap around garden. The living accommodation is open plan and has one bathroom and two bedrooms. The owner lives nearby and is very friendly and welcoming. This holiday location is a perfect base to discover Kent and East Sussex. We for instance walked to Tenterden (slow walkers; 50 minutes) and visited several National Trust estates. When we were there the cottage was clean. The garden was mowed and the garden furniture was in good order (yes, stained and one chair was broken and put on the side - but good quality; so perfect usable). The mattress was far to soft to my liking as was the sofa. I didn't sleep very well. But I guess they 'll be perfectly alright to somebody else.Despite the lack of sleep I really think we'll revisit this lovely holiday cottage."

"We booked S38136 for a small family group attending a wedding in Whitstable. The location couldn't have been better, very central, close to the seafront and a few minutes from many restaurants. In general the property was well equipped and comfortable with a nice seaside feel (art work and general decor) but the bathroom arrangements let the property down. The advertised shower over bath in the main bathroom is just a hand held mixer with no screen or curtain, making it very difficult to use as a shower. The shower in the shower room is better, but in a very small cubicle. Be aware there is only 1 parking space even though the photo makes you think there are more. We variously had to park a 2nd car at a friend's house out of town or in the paid car parks because we had made an incorrect assumption based on the photo."

"Stunning views, but overall disappointed . The fridge had no door to store milk, juice etc, had to use the salad drawer. Outside lights didn't work. Couldn't access the garden cushions. BBQ was filthy. No instructions on how to use the cooker. Info pack had no phone numbers nor details for takeaway deliverys. The local pub is at least 1 and a half miles away, not half a mile as stated. The welcome pack could be improved to include milk, bread, butter. Only a couple of coffee sachets, 1 teaspoon of washing powder, No pole to shut velux window blinds,so early morning sun woke us up.Bathroom towels were rock hard. The 1 day we ventured out, came back to find someone had been in the cottage and opened a window which freaked me out, so much so I left a day early."

"Beautifully furnished and particularly liked the barn effect - very scenic surroundings and a very warm welcome. A couple of areas for improvement: 1. We felt a large rug would've been nice in the sitting room especially as the floors were ceramic tiles and cold on the feet and again in the bedrooms 2. The hot and cold shower fittings on both showers were fiddly and in one shower we were unable to turn the hot control properly resulting in a tepid shower - also the shower heads kept slipping down 3. A pair of kitchen scissors would've been handy in the kitchen drawers especially as it is a self catering cottage. The highlight of our stay was a very bold duck that came and said hello to us every morning and enjoyed his bread :-)"

"This was a truly wonderful holiday for my family. The house was better than described. In the mornings we drove to different castles, beaches and many quaint little villages. The house was so convenient and a short drive to the attractions. The outlet centre in Ashford gave us lots of designer bargains, a real must for the serious shopper. The afternoons were spent by and in the pool. The local pub’s meals were truly value for money, with a extensive range of large meals. This holiday to us was 5 star plus. The house was very clean and spacious. The snooker room and table tennis rooms were great fun we had to drag the children out of there sometimes. Sorry I am gushing but we loved this holiday.
