What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Ipswich District To Rent.

"Really lovely and well furnished cottage, comfortably clean so ideal place for the dogs with lots of outdoor space and close to Alton Waters, Flatford and other good walking places. Fairly remote so have to drive to shops but we knew that up front and took food stuff with us so were happy with that. Great to have the washing machine and tumble drier, particularly in February with two dogs! The log fire is lovely but the logs only lasted us one day and extra has to be purchased. We had a power cut while there, all evening and through the night, but were unable to get through to the owners to see whether is was specific to the farm as they were on holiday. There were candles there though and it was back on by morning so no harm done but would have been good to have had an emergency backup number. All in all a great week and we would definitely return."

"S17931 is quirky and unusual. However the standard of cleanliness was not good and we bought throws to put over the furniture in the living room as they were marked and dirty. We should have contacted the firm/owner straight away as after I contacted the owner she apologised about the smell from the dishwasher which should have had a new filter fitted and the smell in the bathroom was due to stale water in the jets of the bath. She thought the furniture just needed a wipe over, we think it would need a more thorough clean. The pub was noisy on Saturday night - certainly not the owner's fault, neither was the garage across the road which started work at about 7 in the morning. S17931 is old and interesting, it is easy to travel from here into London."

"We had a wonderful Christmas break at S17922 - the owners are really friendly and welcoming, we were delighted by the table laid out with goodies on our arrival - scones, mince pies and sherry! The cottage is beautiful, the kitchen was well stocked, and the owners very helpfully checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed for a Christmas meal, they also gave lots of really good recommendations about nearby places to visit and eat. The cottage has just been refurbished and its obvious that thought and care has been put into things. The cottage is a short walk from Alton waters which makes for a beautiful lazy after-lunch walk. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves."

"'S17931' is a lovely old house with period features and loads of character. It is very well equipped and well positioned for access to Constable Country, Colchester town and the east Essex coast. There is a pub next door, but this is a fairly quiet county pub. It is situated on a quiet street with walks to a kids playground and riverside. In mid summer the upstairs bedrooms got pretty warm at night, so summer duvets would have been better than the 13.5 tog ones provided. There is an oil-fired kitchen range for cooking, but this worked well and would presumably make the kitchen lovely and cosy in winter."

"S17931 was very quirky, we walked round the ground floor twice before we found the upstairs (behind a small door). Be aware that the stairs are VERY steep, narrow & windy - definitely not suitable for those who are not fit & able. Also there are low ceiling beams, so expect some bumped heads. That said, the owners have fully stocked the kitchen & left us a lovely welcome basket with bread, milk etc. The dogs loved the garden & everything in Suffolk was within easy reach. There are masses of dog friendly pubs/inns within 2 or three miles. A lovely location for a lovely county = highly recommended."
