What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Ipswich District To Rent.

"Really lovely and well furnished cottage, comfortably clean so ideal place for the dogs with lots of outdoor space and close to Alton Waters, Flatford and other good walking places. Fairly remote so have to drive to shops but we knew that up front and took food stuff with us so were happy with that. Great to have the washing machine and tumble drier, particularly in February with two dogs! The log fire is lovely but the logs only lasted us one day and extra has to be purchased. We had a power cut while there, all evening and through the night, but were unable to get through to the owners to see whether is was specific to the farm as they were on holiday. There were candles there though and it was back on by morning so no harm done but would have been good to have had an emergency backup number. All in all a great week and we would definitely return."

"The owner was flexible about arrival times and also about dates. She had made the accommodation look welcoming with flowers both in the main room and the bedroom, and also left a bottle of wine, chocolates and milk in the fridge. The village store was well stocked so there would be no need to travel far for supplies. Both East Burgholt and nearby Dedham were lovely villages and had good afternoon tea shops and buildings worth exploring e.g. the churches. Flatford Mill, virtually on the doorstep was wonderful and the information centre, National Trust shop, tea room and exhibition all great. Lovely to visit in the spring when the trees were not in leaf as it made the views of Constable’s paintings more accessible. Apparently it is very picturesque in the autumn too, so this makes it a good area to visit for a short autumn or spring break. March 2009."

"S17934 was a great place to escape to for a few days. The most important plus point for us was the brilliant secure garden for our dog. The fences and gates are excellent with no means of escape - this has not always been the case at other cottage rentals with gardens described as 'secure'. This meant a much more relaxing and fun holiday for everyone - two- and four-legged both! The lodge is very comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. There are plenty of walks outside the front door and parks in Ipswich and Woodbridge with wide open spaces for ball-obsessed dogs. The owners and their lovely dogs could not have been more helpful, friendly and approachable and the wonderful homemade welcome cake was very much appreciated."

"We had a wonderful Christmas break at S17922 - the owners are really friendly and welcoming, we were delighted by the table laid out with goodies on our arrival - scones, mince pies and sherry! The cottage is beautiful, the kitchen was well stocked, and the owners very helpfully checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed for a Christmas meal, they also gave lots of really good recommendations about nearby places to visit and eat. The cottage has just been refurbished and its obvious that thought and care has been put into things. The cottage is a short walk from Alton waters which makes for a beautiful lazy after-lunch walk. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves."

"The description and the photographs were really accurate and when we arrived we were not disappointed. The location was exactly what we wanted with beautiful country walks direct from the Lodge. It was extremely comfortable and had all the facilities that you would want, apart from a dishwasher hence the score of 9 for comfort and equipment. The enclosed garden was very secure for the dog and we were able to make use of the decking as we had good weather. The hosts were lovely and even got us a Sunday paper! We hope to come back again at some stage and would highly recommend it to others, especially if you want some peace and quiet which we did."
