What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Inverbroom To Rent.
- Miss Christ, April 2018 - verified booking
"The house has two seating areas outside, a bench and a table, which can be used at different times of day, depending on wind and sun. We spend several hours every day just sitting out on that bench outside the house (which freakishly never seems to be in the wind or rain), just looking at the view, the sea, watching out for dolphins and seals, because it was just so incredibly peaceful and beautiful. In our views were also the newborn lambs, which were a joy to see every day. Our dog unfortunately likes sheep a little too much, so we kept her on the lead a lot of the time, but it wasn't really a problem, because she was just sleeping in the sun whilst we were sitting on the bench. It was a great place to travel from, and we went up An Teallach, had a walk down to the Shenavall bothy and had very lovely to Loch na Sealga. The beaches in the area are also incredible, although it pays off to keep an eye on the waterline from the house (which is useful if you don't have a newspaper with the tide times, because especially the Gruinard Bay beach shrinks quite a bit during high tide, but is still beautiful. We saw a fairly big group of seals (about 8) there coming in with the tide on our last day and it was fantastic. Another lovely beach is just a little further down the road in Mellon Udrigle, which has sand that's even more white than Gruinard beach. As for the house, it has everything, absolutely everything you could want. We even baked a cake when we were there, not fully expecting to find cake tins. The dishwasher was heaven-sent, especially after long hikes and was much appreciated. In the living room there was some wood already there to be used in the stove, which is lovely in the evenings. Honestly, we could not recommend a nicer house for a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings in perfect comfort, and we will definitely come back."

"The property was very nice and cosy, if I was to comment about things it would be this :- 1) There was no gate to the driveway so any child or pet that was unsupervised even if unwittingly, could have come into contact with a vehicle that passed down the lane adjacent, sometimes at speed.2) The initial fuel was to say the least scant in amount.3) The towels although clean spelt sour.4) There was a power outage during our stay and the only source of other light was one very small wind up torch found in the fuse cupboard, totally insufficient for 9 people if fully booked.5) Was led to believe that the hob was gas powered, only to find it was electric, so during power outage no facilities whatsoever.6) Shower cubicle downstairs overflowed, had been mentioned by other previous guests.7) Were expected to put a bin out which contained last weeks guests rubbish as collection was fortnightly for both rubbish and recycling, where was the caretaker?8) House book said pets not to be exercised in garden, to be kept on leads whilst in garden and only to be left to sleep in either kitchen, hall or utility room, kitchen ok but utility a very small box room suitable for a spaniel I have a Newfoundland (82kg in weight) size dog. Perhaps better if owner said no dogs if not really made welcome.Although property etc very nice, thought house book slightly dictatorial."

"Mellondale was just as we anticipated having stayed there last year. As always no matter where you go the second visit enables you to explore the surroundings and find what you missed the first time, this was no exception! The bungalow was magnificently presented which gave us a feeling of being at home but with spectacular views not seen around our part of the country. No matter what we did, where we went the welcome and friendliness of the local people was incredible which only enhanced our opinions of the area If we have the opportunity to visit a third time the answer would have to be "You Betcha", as apart from a wonderful part of the British Isles the holiday was truly relaxing and enjoyable!"

"Although my comments appear out of synch with previous visitors to this cottage who seem to have found the cottage to their taste, it wasn't mine. The kitchen was well enough equipped and the cottage was clean on arrival. There were a number of maintenance issues o/s when we arrived which should have been found and dealt with before arrival, and there was an unfortunate insect/lava infestation which marred the overall picture as well.I found there was insufficient furniture especially in the main bedroom and the the furniture generally was a little shabby.I did speak to the owner on these points and lets just say his customer service skills need honing."

"The property was nice however the garden was not dog friendly as my dog got out between the gaps beside the gate fortunately we were out there. The light bulbs in the hallway and the bedroom did not work and were obviously not checked prior to us staying and the tv signal was rubbish and you could only watch bbc 1. The house itself was nice but we were not offered any clean bedding after the first week although we were there for two weeks. In other properties when we have stayed a fortnight we have been offered clean towels and clean bedding"
