What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Inverbroom To Rent.

- Miss Christ, April 2018 - verified booking

"We arrived to find the house was in an incredible location with direct view of Loch Broom and the mountains behind. The house has two seating areas outside, a bench and a table, which can be used at different times of day, depending on wind and sun. We spend several hours every day just sitting out on that bench outside the house (which freakishly never seems to be in the wind or rain), just looking at the view, the sea, watching out for dolphins and seals, because it was just so incredibly peaceful and beautiful. In our views were also the newborn lambs, which were a joy to see every day. Our dog unfortunately likes sheep a little too much, so we kept her on the lead a lot of the time, but it wasn't really a problem, because she was just sleeping in the sun whilst we were sitting on the bench. It was a great place to travel from, and we went up An Teallach, had a walk down to the Shenavall bothy and had very lovely to Loch na Sealga. The beaches in the area are also incredible, although it pays off to keep an eye on the waterline from the house (which is useful if you don't have a newspaper with the tide times, because especially the Gruinard Bay beach shrinks quite a bit during high tide, but is still beautiful. We saw a fairly big group of seals (about 8) there coming in with the tide on our last day and it was fantastic. Another lovely beach is just a little further down the road in Mellon Udrigle, which has sand that's even more white than Gruinard beach. As for the house, it has everything, absolutely everything you could want. We even baked a cake when we were there, not fully expecting to find cake tins. The dishwasher was heaven-sent, especially after long hikes and was much appreciated. In the living room there was some wood already there to be used in the stove, which is lovely in the evenings. Honestly, we could not recommend a nicer house for a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings in perfect comfort, and we will definitely come back."

"We stayed at S41332 for a week, just 2 of us and our dog. We regularly have cottage holidays in the North West highlands but this was our first stay here. The cottage is lovely, very clean, well decorated and very well equipped. The views from the front are stunning and we passed a few hours just sitting at the dining table looking out the window. The beds were comfortable (great pillows!) as were the couches. We only had to light the woodburner on the first night as the weather was amazing the whole week. The cottage sits on a working croft, which we hadn't been aware of, but other than not being able to let the dog off lead this wasn't a problem, in fact the sheep and lambs right in front of the cottage were quite friendly and the lambs were hysterical to watch when they started bouncing around playing. One criticism, if it is that, the garden is not enclosed as stated in the description. I advised the owner that we were disappointed by this and she apologised and explained they are trying to buy the land round the cottage and will change the description to reflect this. If we had known the garden was not enclosed we would not have chosen this cottage, but it turned out fine so I'm glad we did. There is so much to do nearby, I would definately recommend Guinard Beach, particularly for a sunset if the weather is good. Also Red Point Beach. Food wise we didn't eat out much as we had our dog with us but I would very highly recommend the shellfish shack in Ullapool, the scallops and cullen skink were amazing. We would definately return to S41332 at some point if the garden gets fully enclosed, meanwhile I would recommend it to anyone who wants a comfortable cottage in a beautiful location."

"This is a very clean, comfortable house with nice views across Little Loch Broom. There's an identical bungalow right next to it on the same piece of land. It's in a fantastic area for hillwalking and climbing - the An Teallach massif looks right down on Camusnagaul. However, there isn't much scope for either hill or low level walking directly from the house - you wouldn't climb An Teallach from there and you couldn't really walk more than a few hundred yards along the rocky shore. The only notable option available without driving a few miles at least is to walk a mile up the road to Ardessie and walk up past the stunning waterfalls of the Allt Airdeasaigh to climb Sail Mhor. The only amenities locally are the hotel (with bar) at Dundonnell a couple of miles down the road and Maggie's Tea Room which is literally next door to the house. The nearest food shop is in Laide, 15 miles away - the one 5 miles up the road at Badcaul has closed down since we were last in the area in 2010. There are bigger shops in Gairloch and Ullapool, both nearly 30 miles away in opposite directions. The house is reasonably well equipped - the very comfortable living/dining room has satellite tv and a dvd player, however you would need to bring your own dvds as there are none in the house, nor any books. The kitchen is a good size and reasonably well equipped with pots & pans, crockery, cutlery, microwave etc. but kitchen knives, as usual in self-catering accommodation, are blunt, and the house could do with wooden or plastic chopping boards instead of the glass ones provided."

"We traveled with our son, his family, which included two 16 year olds and a family friend. We all agreed the cottage was wonderful. It was large enough for 7 people to have space to themselves and to get together for meals, games or a little television watching. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. The surrounding countryside was beautiful. We enjoyed watching the sheep, the quiet and peacefulness of the area. The shops were a distance but no more than from our rural homes in the U.S. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms plentiful enough that no one had to wait. The cool weather was excellent for sleeping and the wool blankets kept us comfortable. While most places we wanted to visit were a distance from the cottage, there is no denying the cottage was a welcome sight when we made it back and so much better than a hotel room. We enjoyed playing games at the dining room table. The need to herd sheep several times to leave or return to the cottage will become family lore and I'm sure will be exaggerated with each telling. We learned they respond much quicker to a person than to a vehicle. The price was reasonable. We wanted a more 360 view, which was blocked by some overgrown bushes along the garden fence, but then we don't know what is behind the bushes so maybe they are overgrown for a reason. The restaurant at the Dundonnell Hotel is excellent. Avoid the rude owners and poor food at the Chinese take away in Laidd. All around a great place for a family vacation."
