"Place was dirty and needed cleaning before anything could be done, cups were filthy, scrap heaters and an old high chair at the side of the property, dog poo all over the rear lawn that had not been mowed in weeks. some wierd outbuilding full of rubbish at the rear. Garden isnt secure if you have that kind of dog.We got there eventually (apalling directions) to find the key left in the door and all the heaters off, place was freezing and no instructions for use, literally nothing at all. No WiFi despite constantly complaining about it. The shower drain blocked on the 2nd day, flooding the bathroom and nearly the bedroom. nothing was done despite reporting it numerous times. Fortunately I'm a plumber so I sorted it, clogged with everything you can put down a drain. vile. I could however do nothing to help the moving toilet, I could have walked out with it, it's that loose!! The new heaters are good at keeping you awake with the brightest blue LED glow I've ever seen. Didn't need the lights at night, so bright! Guess how I slept...... and the old one has 0 instructions and a mind of its own.By far the most concerning part has to do with the safety equipment in the property. It is there to keep you safe if the worst should happen and is a legal requirement. The fire blanket looks like it's been used and folded back up and stuffed into its box, then turned upside down to ensure it stays put. Then there's the the in case of fire poster, obscured by tat and not visable. But by far the best is the fire extinguisher, its not been checked in 20 years and has zero pressure in it. if anything happened youd lose everything and have no insurance coverage. (All of the above I have photographic evidence of this as I literally couldn't make any of this up.)On the plus side the hot tub was a very welcome (and clean) addition.Local amenities are good, having a morrisons nearby and tesco and M&S food close also, so whatever food you want is close at hand. Not that you can cook in the kitchen, there's more prep space on a playing card. Ready meals only kind of kitchen in reality. Ive stayed in smaller places with better designed kitchens. The place was origanlly designed to be wheelchair friendly, then that builder got fired, as the place has a walk in shower, lower lightswitches and ramps but nothing else is geared to this end. its a strange place indeed - the kitchen units are normal height, the furniture is positioned to be completly in the way and the washing machine / dryer are inaccessable to normal humans. The hot tub was really the only saving grace, it did make a big difference to what could have only been as awful place.Booked on a credit card, Thank God. Now ive finally recovered (slept) ill be seeking advice."

"This is not a nasty complaint, just a constructive criticism. The cottage is lovely and the owner has put in good quality items with extras like dog wash outside, garden seating etc. Everything is of a good standard but not kept up to scratch. The hot tub man told us that they have changed their cleaner so may be things will eventually improve but it is sad to see such a lovely property just under par. Does anyone read the visitors book? 4 or 5 times since January people have commented on cleanliness. Someone commented that the kitchen table had fallen on a dog, could have been a child, but it was still there. We needed to clean a cupboard to put our food in it. Freezer was jam packed with bags of ice cubes...in every drawer! Kitchen and bathroom floors had not been washed. The place wasn`t filthy, just not quite clean enough. As for Sykes, you state the gardens are enclosed but the owners leave information in their book that they are not dog safe. I think thar distinction needs making. We had no problems but other visitors have commented on this. I would rather owners were told than publication, but I always read reviews and note that I had only read glowing reports so perhaps this needs to be balanced ."

"If you want complete relaxation with amazing view of the Welsh countryside then this is the place for you. The accomodation is spacious and well kept, we stayed in Deer cabin and the photographs really don't do this place justice, it's huge!! We travelled with two greyhounds and still had room in the bedroom to have 2 giant dog beds at the bottom of the bed. The log burner is fantastic on the cold evenings and relaxing in the hot tub after a day out is just wonderful. Eileen and Steve were fantastic hosts and made sure they were available if anything was required. The cabin was well equipped with board games, dvds, books, outdoor games and even individual hot tub towels. We stayed for our wedding anniversary and we were lucky enough to have a day of sunshine which we enjoyed with a barbecue in the fully enclosed garden (yes fully enclosed). If you have dogs you can let them roam free in the garden with no worries. It was a fantastic week and will definitely be returning in the near future. For us it ticked every box. If i was going to suggest anything it would be a roof over the hot tub so you can still enjoy in any weather. Overall 10 out of 10 for us and we didn't want to leave the place."

"We stayed for 3 nights in Decemeber 2017 and were greeted with a bottle of prosecco on arrival. This started our weekend in the most perfect way! Throughout our stay we was practically snowed in. For us, we only saw this as a bonus! We didn't plan on an active trip but a quiet retreat and the snowy scenary was breathtaking. Steve made sure we was comfortable and settled due to the sever weather. Our hosts really went above and beyond! The cabin we stayed in exceeded both our expectations. Built and finished to a very standard. The size of the cabin is very decituful from the outside....inside they feel twice as big. Our cabin certainly had a home from home feel. The hot tub is the icing on the cake! We both highly recommended this trip to all of our friends & family. We wanted a quite and relaxing weekend away and this place was perfect. Anyone who is looking for a quite retreat or wants to go on nice breathtaking walks and observe the best scenery & wildlife Wales has to offer, then you won't be disappointed with Little Meadow Park. Thank you so much Steve & Eileen for making our anniversary extra special! We will 100% be looking to return in the summer. :) Drew & Suzan."

"Lovely cottage in wonderful surroundings. Loved the peace and tranquilty but you are just a short walk away from the village if you fancy a few drinks or something to eat. Everything you might need is literally on your doorstep. No major supermarkets but that isn't a negative. It was nice to shop locally and a welcome change. Everything you might need is within walking distance. Lovely local beach within walking distance too, our dog loved it! A great base from which you can travel to different towns to sightsee but to be honest we found it was so lovely to enjoy the cottage and the comforts it had to offer. The conservatory was so nice to sit in and the hot tub was fantastic. When we arrived the gardens were overgrown which was a bit disappointing but in the middle of the week the gardeners came to do the lawn and did apologise that they were overdue. We were lucky and enjoyed some good weather but had we stayed indoors, the cottage was wonderfully comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed it that much that we have booked for next year. It was warm so didn't experience the wood burner but maybe we will next time. Overall, a wonderful gem of a cottage and looking forward to re-visiting."
