What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Hot Tubs In Kent To Rent.

"We found the owners to be welcoming and friendly and happy to offer advice about the area, they met us on arrival and shower us around the property. At first glance the property seemed fine although the furnishings are dated and it is one of those rentals that seems to be equipped with cast is from the owners home.Cleanliness was really the issue with this property, it was poor throughout particularly if you looked under the beds or deliver down the cushions in the lounge - the fridge was really dirty unfortunately. The whole property needs a deep clean and regular cleaning and really needs refurbishing with new equipment and furnishings. The property would also benefit from some visit blinds as the vertical blinds fitted don't block out any light on the mornings. The bathrooms are relatively modern but the electric shower in the en-suite was hotels and the shower in the main bathroom was blocked and didn't drain away. The best feature about the property was the hot tub which was very welcome.Location wise the cottage is nice, located deep in the woods, the nearby village has a corner shop which is well stocked and a pub which is ok but the night we visited the service was dreadful. In summary, we enjoyed our visit but the cottage needed a lot of improvements, it very much felt like a very basic, rather deficient cottage which is being rented at very much a premium price, don't let the high price to you into thinking this is going to be something special...."

"The property requires a total overhaul, starting with a deep and thorough clean. There were cobwebs everywhere. There was thick dust under the bed, an old hair slide and bits of rubbish in the drawers. Switches for shower and towel rail were above the door frame so only accessible if you were of at least average height. Towels were old and rough. There were no grab rails in the bathroom. The under work top fridge-freezer was way too small for four people (1/3 feeezer & 2/3 fridge) and was not switched on when we arrived. Fridge door shelf was also broken and owner asked us to repair it. The oven tins were filthy. There were no markings on the hob to say which knob operated which ring. Very out of date tourist information leaflets, inc a tatty 2013 copy of Kent Life! Be careful how you park your car or you will be in trouble from one of the owners who acted like a parking warden. We had a rather negative welcome when we arrived, basically being told all the things we must not do. There was no welcome pack - except a carton of UHT milk. It was all very disappointing because with some care and attention to detail and cleanliness, it could be a really good holiday property."

"A clean, nicely decorated and well equipped barn conversion with friendly and helpful hosts. It was great to find somewhere where we could bring the family dog and enjoyed using the outside hot tub in mid December. The only thing that let it down slightly were a few maintenance issues - two of the electric radiators were not working, the towel rails only heat half way up and the toaster and wall clock didn't work. The kids loved the geese outside the window and a enjoyed a trip to Dymchurch beach about 1/2 hour away. There are also some nice pubs close by - we liked the George Inn which was friendly, has a big log fire and does great food. Not so impressed with the the Rose & Crown. We were made to feel very unwelcome. Since we had the dog with us we were told to stay in one small corner of the pub which had no tables. There was a table that had been pushed into the far corner with the cleaners mops. I moved it about a foot out so the kids could sit down around it and got muttered at. Then we were told that we couldn't order food as they were too busy preparing for a Christmas party.... so we left and went back to the George Inn!"

"S13571 is set in an amazing village in the Middle of Kent farmland and has lots of great cycling or walking tracks. We were given a very warm welcome by the owners who were very amenable during our whole stay. They helped us out with extra bedding and showing our children around the farm as well as popping in for chats during the week. This made us feel very comfortable and homely. S13571 was spacious and had good facilities however there were no instructions on how to get these to work. It also would have been handy to have local information, such as a sheet showing us where the local shops were. Our only issues were that the insides of the drawers and cupboards were dirty and that the showers were very tired with mouldy areas. A little bit of time spent on this property would make it fit the luxury category that would go with the fab hot tub that the property has shared use of."

"In over thirty years of visiting cottages, the hosts were the most unfriendly, unhelpful and in one case, downright rude, we have ever encountered. I echo previous reviews concerning them behaving like an officious parking attendant, poor standards of cleanliness, needing an up-date eg no curtains, only blinds, lack of basic equipment eg no bread-knife and difficulty in using some equipment. When we enquired about the difficult to use oven controls we were told 'nobody else had complained and we were always complaining'. This was blatantly untrue as a previous s reviewer has raised exactly the same point. The heater in the double bedroom was not working and hanging off the wall. The cottage was cold on arrival, but no heating turned on."
