What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Hot Tubs In Belper To Rent.
- Mrs Laverick, October 2018 - verified booking
"We had an excellent holiday meeting up with another family with 4 young children between us. We took our own travel cot and high chair as these were not supplied. The children enjoyed lots of space to play and a big bath. The location is excellent for Matlock centre and only 10 mins walk to the train station (a bit longer walking back up the steep hill!) and closer for a very good park, several cafes and bars and the lovely micropub 'the news room' up the hill. We also enjoyed the hot tub! Only a few minor points which could be improved: we would have liked a cafetiere (although ample supply of instant coffee provided along with tea, a big box of biscuits, some oil, sauces and other bits and bobs of food which were very thoughtfully provided.) Not an issue in October, but pale vertical blinds in the bedrooms would be insufficient in the summer- on a previous holiday elsewhere with similar our children were awake from 4.30am! Some blackout blinds or curtains would be a valuable addition to this house. The parking area is badly pot-holed which may not be in the owner's control, but a simple warning to be aware to park very slowly and carefully would be helpful. These were all minor issues for us however and we would happily stay here again (in the winter months)."

"The Loft is a brilliant place to stay, I would not only recommend it, but say you must stay here! The owner is very friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. The Loft itself is very tastefully decorated, well maintained, clean (you can smell the hint of bleach in the kitchen so you know its really clean) and well equipped. The shower is powerful and then you step out to the softest thickest towels (I nearly brought them home). The spacious lounge, has a large sofa that you both can lie on, and when you light all the candles is very romantic. And that's all before I get to the best bit, the hot tub, what could be more relaxing at the end of the day, hot tub, music (bluetoothed to hot tub speakers from mobile) wine and chocolates. I never give anywhere a full excellent rating but The Loft deserves it. We had such a relaxing weekend."

"The overall lodge was clean when we arrived although we had to rewash everything we used to cook or drink with as it was still dirty. We also had no oven cloves or tea towels to be able to cook or clean so we had to return home that evening to collect the basic health and safety equipment to be able to cook. The beds were made upon our arrival and they were very comfortable. The shower was ok but the plug had broken and was starting to fall into the ground which is a little off putting when you want a shower. The hot tub was fantastic and by far the best part of the lodge but the smell of chlorine was very overpowering. We also had 3 days with very little or no water. We understood it was due to a leak in the local village but we were offered no support or additional water to be able to cook or clean with. A little disappointing!"

"We booked the house for 12 of us for 1 week over Christmas. It was just the perfect week. The house was totally equipped with all that we needed. The location was fantastic. The kitchen and long dining table worked so well. We took alot of things for the kitchen and we didn't need them. The only one recommendation and slight criticism we had is the house is dark and they could do with some more lamps or lights. We tried doing a jigsaw at night and it was impossible. The house is beautiful and we can't fault anything, just a few more brighter lamps please around the house. We will be booking again. Thank you team"

"Garden area looking a bit worn. Decking needs a paint, Weeding etc. Kitchen is also worn and the oven needs a clean. It set off the smoke alarm when heating up and stunk the place out. New sealant needed around the shower. We went for a hot tub weekend and we were disappointed as the hot tub was cold when we got there and not hot enough until the 2nd night.Too many signs with rules on everywhere. Don't do this etc. I am assuming they have had breakages from previous bookings. I think the odd broken mug should be included in the price. It wasn't cheap and the mugs were just from a super market."
