"This cottage has huge potential to be excellent. Sadly, the initial view on entering was of full dustbins, dirty, unusable garden furniture and peeling paintwork. Inside, children's books, toys (broken and incomplete) and puzzles were untidy and cobwebby. Built in cupboards were were untidy with tat. The kitchen was good, but equipment needed a complete sort. Bedrooms and linen were fine. The cottage is in an interesting village and very close to interesting places to visit. We'd love to return....but only if the cottage is given some 'love' and care. It is listed on several sites, but appears with different soft furnishings. Wifi ( listed as a feature) was non-existent .. The (absent) owner did try to help us over the phone, but it became clear that there was no dedicated wifi for the cottage...altogether a disappointing experience."

"The house, inside and out, needs money spending on it.The Saturday we stayed there was a particularly cold day, slightly less so on the Sunday, and yet there was no central heating. We turned it on,albeit at a low setting, but we think the central heating switch at the boiler, which we did not have access to,was switched off. There was one electric radiator which we had to switch on but it was not sufficient to heat the house. We were so cold that we had to vacate the house early on the Sunday rather than stay on until the Monday.Overall, the property, and courtyard outside, required some TLC.It was not one of our best finds. We are spending a further week in Kineton at the end of November, but sadly will not be using this."

"Good cottage, very clean, excellent shower, comfy beds, two chairs in lounge could have been comfier but Ok for short periods. Problem with the fridge/freezer, the fridge part apparently not working and only just kept cool by the freezer below. Brought to the attention of the owner who was unable to get an engineer out until the day we left. The other issue is the fire alarm in the kitchen is so sensitive that every time you open the oven door the fire alarm goes off. The solution is to take or buy a cheap shower cap to put over he alarm when cooking. Remember though to remove it afterwards!Handy location for several counties and the main section of the Cotswolds."

"Had a restful long weekend with our doggie at S15937 as a base to visit Bourton in the Water, Batsford Arbouretum, Chipping Campden and Cotswold walks. Had fabulous meals out at Ebrington Arms, Red Lion at Long Compton and Churchill Arms at Paxford (all dog friendly). The cottage was stylish, warm and comfortable. The owner welcomed us on arrival with wine, cake and doggie treats and showed us the bonus of a fenced off dog exercise area and gave us some milk as the nearest shop was in Shipston. Excellent Tv and lots of local information leaflets etc. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend."

"We stayed for a long weekend. We are a family of 5 adults but there was plenty of space for everyone and the rooms in the property were bigger than we expected. The cottage is very welcoming for example when we arrived on a cold November afternoon the property was lovely and warm and the caretaker had left us a tray laid out with tea, coffee, biscuits and milk in the fridge. We found everything to be very clean and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend to others."
