"Wonderful stay at Downhouse cottage. Absolute dream for those that appreciate the great outdoors. Very dog friendly and views to die for. The cottage is tastefully decorated with a cosy cornish cottage feel. Gina and John have thought of everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We were given clear instructions on how to use the fire in the living room etc and the cottage provide lots of information on places to visit locally, shops etc . We were greeted with a cream tea on arrival which was very thoughtful. Although the garden is very small to the cottage, it is surrounded by at least 6 fields that are free of animals and can be used to walk your dogs. The double bedroom is extremely cosy and duvet extremely warm. One evening we had very high winds and we did not find the cottage drafty at all. If I was to knit pick I would say that the mattress on the double bed is a little squidgy but not a big issue for us at all. We had great weather for October too. Peace and tranquility and although we were attached to a family renting downhouse it was still extremely quite. We loved it and will be returning next year hopefully."

"Lovely accommodation and in a good location but there were a few niggles; - directions to the parking space are incorrect and the parking space is tight with nettles down one side - I don’t think the info says the cottage is right next door to the pub (I could be wrong). This wasn’t a problem for us but could be for some - Blinds are needed downstairs. This was noted in the visitors book back in Oct 2017. It’s disappointing that this hasn’t been acted on - outside patio area is unkempt, small and not private - smell from the wood burner was overpowering. Not suitable for someone with allergies like myself - shower wasn’t very powerful But on the plus side; - lovely accommodation, nicely decorated - well equipped kitchen - great location (for us) - everybody loved the main bedroom. Were a few arguments over who got that room!"

"The cottage is bigger than expected but did smell very fusty on arrival needing all the windows opening. The carpets were dirty and I had to hover before unpacking. Thorns and berries everywhere outside so it was not dog friendly. The oven was dirty and smelt of grease. The worst part was the bathroom. The shower was filthy and completely blocked so flooded when my daughter got in the shower and we spent a few hours cleaning that and 5 pounds on drain unblocker. The location is quiet but remote and there is no way of getting anywhere unless you want to risk life and limb on single track blind bend roads. You have no choice however if you want to eat or go anywhere as there is nothing within a 4 mile radius. We left early due to not wanting to risk the roads anymore. Disappointed."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Moorings Tintagel. What a lovely friendly little town, with everything you could need. Pubs, shops, cafes, restaurants and beautiful walks all on the doorstep. We found the King Arthur's Arms particularly welcoming. We strongly advise you to visit King Arthur's Great Halls. It looks uninteresting from the outside. ..don't be fooled. It's an amazing place with the most beautiful stained glass windows and captivating atmosphere. Now for The Moorings, everything you could wish for ,for a perfect holiday BUT we hope the owner heeds ours and previous guests ' comments to put blinds up at the front windows !Then it could perhaps be described as the PERFECT place. We sincerely hope to return one day."

"My daughter and I have just spent a perfect week at Sunny Cabin. The chalet has just about everything you need and is beautifully situated close to Bossinney Haven, a beautiful cove. The chalet is on a smallholding with other rental properties with the owners visiting twice daily to see to animals but it still very much affords privacy. The ducks and chickens will give you a warm welcome! They are charming and we spent most evenings in their delightful company. The chalet is within walking distance to Tintagel and close to St Nectan's Glen which is well worth a visit. All in all a lovely, peaceful place to stay and a good base for exploring North Cornwall. Highly recommended."
