"Gorgeous house but quite disappointing. When we arrived, after the time specified, they were still working on the property. The sauna wasn’t working all weekend, even thought they said the broken part was being fixed at some point during our stay. The music on the hot-tub didn’t work even though we were told we could have music outside. The chairs around the table were very uncomfortable. We had to get someone out several time over our stay. On the first bight we realised a couple of lights didn’t work, we were told the lights had been check before our arrival, however the bulbs had gone. An electrician came and fixed the bathroom light but we were left with two other bulbs still broken. We were told that if the hot-tub dropped below a certain level to top it up with the hose pipe provided, unfortunately this was taken from us through our stay so someone had to come out again to sort it. There was also an extra attachment that he had to bring, we had to wait 45 minutes for this which meant we couldn’t go in the hot-tub, with no apology given to us. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this cottage as the inside, equipment and services was very disappointing."

"We really enjoyed staying in this lovely wooden cabin. The open plan living area had lots of room for the kids to run about. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of storage space in the bedrooms. The exposed wooden beams and high ceiling really made the place feel really spacious. If it had been summer I'm sure we would have enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace...but it was too cold in October. It was very good value. We could of done with a brighter bulb in the lamp in the living area for reading. We did struggle a bit with the door locks too, but the site manager was very friendly and only too happy to help. I loved the fact that there was no wifi :-) The site itself was nice and well kept. When I booked it I thought it was nearer a beach, as it is not far from the coast, but actually the beaches are about 30 mins away (thus I gave a lower score for location...but I should of done my research better). We really enjoyed it and would be happy to return."

"Nice accommodation. Very close to Horncastle and Woodhall Spa. RAF Coningsby also within a few miles for those aircraft enthusiasts. The cottage is in a very rural area and dead quiet at night. The only sound was that of an owl very close by. It was a treat to stand outside one clear night and see more stars than I have ever seen in England. No lighting to detract from the beautiful night sky. The cottage had everything we needed and the beds were very comfy. Plenty of crockery and cutlery and utensils. It’s much more spacious than it looks on the photos with a large lounge and kitchen/diner.The cottage owners are right there if needed but unobtrusive. Sara was there to greet us a few mins after we arrived and showed us around. The only tiny little grumble was the real difficulty of opening the key safe, if Sara had not been there fairly quickly after our arrival to get the key out we would have been stuck. I think they will fix that though."

"Cottage was a good location for walking. There was a restriction on the heating controls & I felt cold much of the time. Mentioned how cold cottage felt to me on arrival but owner didn't seem very simpathetic although appeared to nudge individual controls up?but I still felt cold most of our stay. Didn't feel comfortable raising it with owner again. Wood burner on offer which for us was a 'faf' & extra logs charged for after initial supply.Would have liked cleaning products & cloths in the bathroom. White towels very greyish. If snowy white towels cannot be offered I prefer coloured ones as suggests towels not thoroughly clean. No plug point for hairdryer near a mirror.Although knife block had a good selection non were sharp. Weak Wi-Fi so TV programmes we planned to watch via our iPad - we couldn't.Good quality furniture throughout also kitchen & bathroom high quality."

"We had a brilliant time at Lake View Lodges, the weather was perfect, which helped, and the Lodge was everything we could have wanted. The site was lovely and peaceful, yet near enough to the main road that it was easy to get to wherever you wanted. We've stayed in many cottages all over the UK and this was by far the cleanest one, and had everything that you needed (thank you Lake View Girls). I would recommend a meal at the Bricklayers Arms (Old Leake), the food is gorgeous and the carvery out of this world (you need to book for the carvery). Another pub I'd recommend is the Malcolm Arms (Anton's Gowt) the food is good and they serve it at lunchtimes (except for Mondays) which a lot of the local pubs don't, even if their websites say that they do! Would definitely love to go again."
