"Seacliff is a very tired rental and would benefit from some tlc maintenance and a good clean. On pulling up our first impressions of seacliff were very disappointing. Garden was a mess , completely overgrown, scaffolding on the floor tree cuttings piled up, spilt cement on the drive, not very welcoming at all!On entering we were hit with a foul damp smell , we had to open all doors and windows, went to put champagne in utility fridge to be faced with mould, not impressed! Upstairs kitchen had mouse droppings in the cupboard, and the bin bag had been chewed in the morning. A dishwasher with no tablets , 1 toilet roll, pubic hair in the shower, crumbs beside the bed, cobwebs... I could go on! We took photos to back this up.Seacliff has not been presented well at all. Tiles falling off the wall on the balcony, balcony railings loose making a gap big enough for a child to fall through, dirty “blown” patio doors, that we needed to oil as we couldn’t open.Fortunately between us we didn’t let it spoil our celebrations. For the amount we paid for 2 nights we were very disappointed and would not recommend seacliff and feel I we were over charged and would like my money back.Your photos are very misleading."

"I wanted to sleep in the top Bedroom but the toilet was not working ,we phoned the contact number that was left, the lady said she would look into it on Friday the Day we were leaving, it was very disappointing, as the note said just contact me if you need anything. I also couldn't close the curtains properly as there was a lot of noise coming from the pub across the road. we couldn't work the Television properly as we did not realize the box needed to be manually pressed on, we struggled with the remote and didn't realize the box wasn't on. After a 5 Hour journey we would have preferred a few tea Bags to a pkt of biscuits as we had to go shopping. Our Holiday was more about a rest than to see the sights and it was very noisy with the pub one side and the back of Waitrose on the other side with Deliveries and lorries being loaded during the Day."

"We have stayed at a number of cottages in the Cotswolds over many years. La Caleche is the only place we have stayed on three occasions. We keep returning because it is an ideal cottage and location to stay and see the area. The owners are very helpful and friendly and cant do enough for you. During this visit I noticed that some changes had been made to the second bedroom to enable the wardrobe to be in the bedroom rather than on the landing outside. It adds an extra level of convenience and improvement. We keep returning to La Caleche for its location and the comfort of the cottage itself. We like the large living/kitchen area and the garden outside when the weather is nice. For our family gatherings this is an ideal place to stay and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I'm sure we will be returning next year!"

"Location was excellent right in the middle of Bridport town centre. The cottage had everything we needed with two modern bathrooms, good sized kitchen and living space. It backs onto Waitrose which has deliveries some mornings at 4am which is going to wake up anyone sleeping in the top bedroom with the window open (we had 20C day temps and 14-18C night - the top bedroom was very warm). It was not a problem once the window was closed and apparently the noise could not be heard from the front ground floor bedroom. The off road parking was very useful and no trouble with any surrounding vehicles. You have two ways to get into the space if there is anyone parked where they shouldn't.A very enjoyable break for all."

"A damp fousty smell on arrival. A few other problems with this property. No Wi-Fi. One of the toilet doors wouldn't close. No fire door on kitchen. Rain pouring through one of the windows in the down stairs bedroom. Garden a little unsitely. No protection around the patio as the drop is over 6 feet. A little unfinished but still has some character. Very dirty windows. This is a big thing when you have such lovely stunning views. Telescope doesn't work as there is far too much mould in the lens. Some chess pieces are broken. Table football is that stiff you end up moving the table. Unfortunately we had to stay in the whole visit due to the weather."
