"We booked the Chateau and Annexe for one week in late September for a big holiday with family and friends. Everyone made a point of telling us what an incredible venue and area we had chosen - I'll list out a few of the many great things about Chateau-des-Siecles: - The owner/staff who looked after us incredibly well - they were responsive, made themselves available and checked up most days (without being intrusive) and they went out of their way to make our stay as stress-free as possible (e.g. helping move furniture / changing linen for new guests). - The accommodation - very tastefully decorated but without being stuffy (i.e. it felt like a place to be lived in and enjoyed), luxurious (great mattresses, linen, bathrooms, kitchens etc) and spacious with ample facilities for numerous groups to do their own thing, or indeed for everyone to get together. - The setting / location - the views from the Chateau and it's grounds have to be seen to be believed, everywhere you walk you spot another stunning aspect. The local area offers plenty of activities such as canoeing, cycling, walking or visiting vineyards - we could easily have spent a month exploring. - The little things - there were numerous touches which we were not expecting from a self-catering rental but which helped make our stay extra-special: pool towels washed and replaced each day, someone popping in in the early morning to clean and tidy communal areas and basic food provisions provided (jam, butter, milk etc) on the first day. - Value for money - given the astonishing setting and luxurious accommodation, Chateau-des-Siecles offers superb value for money. Highly recommended - so much so we are hoping to find another excuse to come back!"

"The property was beautiful and Avril and Marion were lovely to work with, as well as Oliver's Travels. They really made our trip as easy and enjoyable as possible. We had only booked the main house and Burgundy was entering a heat wave so she opened up the entire property to us and made other rooms which had air conditioning available to us. Technically, she didn't have to, but we definitely wouldn't have enjoyed ourselves as much as temperatures were up to 100 degrees at times, and we had young kids with us. That aside, the grounds were beautifully maintained, Avril was on site and waiting for us to show us around and responded right away to any requests we had. We were welcomed with some fresh cherries, tomatoes and bottles of wine. We had inquired if there were any coffee makers and told there was coffee, nespresso and tea. We expected just a couple of nespresso pods to tie us over, but it was like a nespresso and tea store!! The kitchens were also well equipped with oils, salt, pepper, spices, all the cookware you could need that were also top of the line. We did do some cooking but we also had some meals prepared by the recommended chefs. Chef Ollie prepared a duck confit as our welcome meal and it was amazing! chef Phillip also cooked for us, and he was just a delight to work with. Gael dropped off our meal, and it was another hit. We would definitely come back and highly recommend."

"In the summer of 2017 we stayed here for 1 week. 4 adults, 3 children (9m, 1j and 3j). The garden is really beautiful! Beautifully maintained, super big, sun to + 21h in the evening (even if you have to move some in the garden), swoit, you have sun). Everything is available to enjoy outside terrace, umbrellas, sunbeds and - Seats, beautifully maintained swimming pool, small playground, wood for the sake of cooking a fire, bbq, ... On the grounds there are some fruit trees, ideal for exploring the children. The domain is much bigger than shown on the pictures. We had a dog to leave it unattended, they could easily leave the domain via hedges etc. In the nicely maintained kitchen of All the comfort and resources provided. Living was a bit smaller. One disadvantage is the insulation in the house, if there is one person (child), the whole house is awake. The suite has an open stairway so you can Facts all belong downstairs .. in summary, we had a great holiday here in Diges We will definitely be back here, without small children) Homeowners were very friendly and correct. The car is highly recommended. Everything is nearby (supermarket, gas station, pharmacy, ...), but not to be done on foot. Auxerre (recommended!) Chablis is located in the immediate vicinity (+ 30 min drive). There are also plenty of information for the children in the area. The cottage itself."

"We have just returned from our time at Chateau Bourgogne, and I am struggling for words to adequately describe our visit. Of course, when you have planned accommodations in a structure begun in the 1100s, you are a little concerned on the modern conveniences on which one is now dependent. Put those fears at rest! The Castle has been carefully and thoughtfully updated and our stay could not have been more pleasant. The rooms, linens and private areas are all very comfortable. The baths have been updated and easily accommodate a large party. We used the kitchen often to deliver every type and level of meal – from a quick nosh – to a five-course delight. The Great Room is my favorite with a fire place large enough to walk in and efficient enough to keep all comfortable. There is a Bluetooth enabled speaker system for that added touch as you relax, and wi-fi to stay in touch with the outside world. We were close to other towns and day trips were easy and fun! My only complaint is that it was too cool to use the lovely pool or sit at the table at the front entry and admire what must be beautiful flowering vines that grace the entry – but we were graced with snow which was magical! We can’t wait to return!"

"We were welcomed by the owner and the manager. Guided tour with explanation. House looked fine. The living room was very full, the rest of the house was more spacious. The environment is also green and quiet. The house is on the edge of a neighborhood. Occasionally traffic comes along but it is very quiet. You can hear birds chirping and the occasional sheep or cow. In the immediate vicinity Vezelay is a must and Avallon is worth the effort. We have cycled many kilometers along the Canal de Nivernais. With the bikes in the car somewhere to go and then cycling. In the immediate vicinity it is climbing and descending. Walking is easy to do in the immediate vicinity. In the house there is an abundance of information about the region. Maps, hiking trails, information about the attractions and so on. The house is equipped with everything you might need during a holiday. The absence of a television was no problem for us. We have absolutely not missed that. It is a house and maybe to go again in the future."
