"My daughter booked this house for all the family to join together to celebrate several post xmas birthdays that fall at the start of the year, she could not have picked a better venue ! We had the cottage for a week and wish it could of been longer, this cottage is a home from home, our party varied in age from 4 months through to 60, plus two lively dogs, and on arrival we were greeted by the owners husband who ensured that we were happy and had a supply of wood for the log burner, then left us to explore and enjoy discovering the excellent facilities. The house is spotlessly clean, but is not immaculate in condition, this is NOT a critizsim in any way, It feels lived in because you immediatly relax into holiday mode with no fear of a "don't touch this or that", nagging of the kids ! The large and I mean large kitchen is superbly equipped with everything you could possibly need. The Kitchen table is massive, the pictures on the site do not do it justice, The main living room is large and the log burner the focus of the room for us anyway, the owners are happy to supply further logs and kindling if needed. the snug with its second television proved useful for an escape if required. The bedrooms several of which are en-suite were comfortable with access to additional blankets etc if needed. Outside the gated garden was ideal for the dogs to release some of their energy, with plenty of parking space for all of us plus family who came to visit. The views were wonderful, when the weather allowed, Mid winter, what can you expect.the walks on the farm were enjoyable if muddy, as i said, Mid winter ! Further afield the picturesque town of Tenbury Wells is a friendly local shopping centre. We also visited several National Trust properties nearby. We have used several holiday cottages over the years and this one rates highly as one of our favourites and I am sure we will plan a revisit in the future."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Ferryman's Cottage over New Year. The rooms were comfortable and provided a good mix of double beds and singles for our mixed family group. The bathrooms were all clean, modern and plentiful - there were five full bathrooms with showers and one additional toilet. The kitchen was clean and well equipped with plenty of plates, cutlery, pots and pans etc so it was easy to cater for the group. The living room was not really big enough to accommodate fourteen of us comfortably but the dining room sat us easily so we were able to use this area too. The WiFi was not great but adequate. The garden was well fenced so suitable for our dog and there was easy walking along the river directly from the cottage. The drive to the cottage was interesting with some significant puddles on the last bit of the lane/driveway but otherwise the location is conveniently close to the M5/M50 but has the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. Food at the nearby Railway Inn was excellent. All in all I'd recommend the cottage as somewhere that is well equipped, warm and comfortable and suited our needs as a convenient venue for a family get together."

"We enjoyed a large family get together here in January, and would highly recommend the Ferryman's cottage for that purpose. The house was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped for large gatherings (with enough kitchen equipment for a large family roast). The photos don't really do the property justice, the bathrooms are all very modern and luxurious. Most importantly for a winter gathering, the house is extremely warm and comfortable (we have rented a number of properties in January and that is not always the case in some of the older properties). The only constructive comment I would give is that the road to the property is full of pretty deep pot-holes which had got very waterlogged when we were there. We were able to access the property ok, but I would not have wanted to drive a small or old car down that road in winter. The owner was very helpful before our stay, and it was all very smooth and easy. Thanks a lot!I would strongly recommend this property for large gatherings, and we would certainly return!"

"It was a perfectly situated expansive home with sweeping views of the lake and woodland and the elevated farmland in the distance. All in all a wonderfully peaceful setting enveloped by idylic countryside. The property feels vast and is finished to the highest standard all round with a lovely homely feel to all areas. Every room that we used was lovely and beautifully tasteful. We found the snug and main lounge area with roaring fireplace and well stocked drinks cabinet a particularly wonderful place to relax after a day traversing the Malvern hills. The local towns and pubs in the Malvern area are full of friendly folk and fabulous food and beers. The Malvern hills are a must do in terms of hilltop wandering and Malvern Estate is the truly perfect setting for being back together and enjoying country living at the highest level after a day out on the walks. Will definitely come back!"

"Had a long - Birthday - weekend with 20 people ranging from 2 years to 82 years with all ages in between. Everyone loved the house, it was so big that the children (and the adults, in truth) spent the first hour exploring all the rooms and the next hour trying to remember where they were! The two dishwashers made life so much easier and there was plenty (understatement!) of crockery and cutlery in the kitchen The games room was a massive hit and was enjoyed by all and the main lounge was large enough for everyone to sit with room left over to play charadesWe are already discussing 'clubbing together' and returning next year as it was such a successful weekendRob was pleasant and helpful, our shopping delivery arrived early and he was unloading it as I arrived - thank you Rob!"
