"This was a lovely holiday rental. The house was beautifully furnished, and looked like it had been recently renovated so was very modern, clean and comfortable. The house had everything we needed, with a well equipped kitchen, comfy sofas in the living room and a lovely garden with tables and chairs. The location is excellent, very close to Bewdley town centre, which has lots of shops and places to eat. I would also recommend a nice walk along the river where you can feed the ducks and watch the rowing boats. However, the house is at the top of a steep, long hill, which doesn't have a footpath down the whole way, so not ideal if you are less mobile. We had our toddler daughter with us, so we didn't attempt to walk down the hill to get in to the town and instead decided to drive. First thing in the morning this was fine and it was easy to find a parking space, but if you hit rush hour or late afternoon then the roads do get quite congested. Parking at the property was fine, it is on street and first come first served, but we always managed to find a spot and mostly right outside the front door. The bedrooms were nicely furnished and comfortable. Just a note if you are bringing a travel cot with you - it won't fit in the smaller twin room but there is plenty of space in the double room. The house is also really close to local attractions such as the Severn Valley Railway, West Midlands Safari Park and Wyre Hill, where you can do the Gruffalo Trail. We had a great time at this property and would definitely come again and recommend to others."

"Bumble Bees amply fulfilled our expectations. Everything was as described, or better. Privacy combined with convenience to make sitting out a real pleasure, and the views over the garden and to the Severn Plain were magnificent. The flat was very well equipped: we also particularly liked the fact that non-essential items, like antique/retro clocks and radio, actually worked and were not mere ornaments. This feature suggested steady attention to detail, and to the creation of atmosphere. Speaking of which, the flat had a charm and a character difficult to capture in photos. The flow and layout of the rooms felt good, and there was space on every hand, with plenty of light and visibility where needed. We valued the fact that the town centre was an easy walk away, for us anyway. The general sense of relaxation was underpinned by the phone conversation we had with the owner a week before visiting. We found this reassuring, with an invitation to ring at any time of day or night if we needed to. We would have welcomed some written guidance to help us recycle materials, and we also found the outside bins full: perhaps we missed something. No other reservations at all.Definitely a 'Buy'."

"Comfortable, cosy, clean and easy to manage. Nice and warm with simple to operate heating. Sofas and beds were comfy too, and the shower was a breeze to work. The cottage offered everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. When we had a few tech problems, the owners were on hand to help. Bewdley town is a lovely traditional town with as beautiful riverside where everyone is very friendly and helpful. The fruit and veg shop is terrific, the tourist man in the museum couldn't have been more helpful. The town is less than five minutes walk down the hill but the climb up is taxing although there's a bus service if needed. A real bonus is that two doors away is a wonderful traditional proper community pub that's homely and welcoming - and serves a first-class pint of beer. Cheers to 48 Wyre Hill."

"Poor attention to detail when being cleaned (bathroom bin was fall of waste, old newspapers behind sofa and no light bulb in lamp). This was rectified by Sara. On arrival had to go to neighbour for help to find way in. Welcome pack was meanest we have ever had in all our many years of cottage holidays. Under floor heating was hit and miss which you have no control over. It needs additional heating. Hot water was very good but one evening there was no hot water for either of us to have a bath. Rodents could be heard scratting and gnarring in the cavity above living room, when we reported this to Robin we were told that rats have to live somewhere and that because we were townies and this was the countryside, we didn't understand!"
