What our customers are saying about our School Holiday Cottages In Woolacombe To Rent.

"This was the first time we had hired a cottage for a family holiday and the first time we'd visited the area so we were a little apprehensive before we arrived - we needn't have been: The owners were perfectly friendly, helpful and accommodating, This corner of Devon is packed with things to do (whatever the weather) and Farrier's End was as charming an escape as you could possibly hope to find. The accommodation was very spacious and well appointed; we loved the novelty of the layout of this sympathetic barn/stable convertion - the semi-open plan living/dining area suits us really well, the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, the kitchen well-appointed, the bathroom clean and the patio with a large area of lawn was a bonus for an after-tea knockabout with our son! Our friends were also hugely impressed too when we had them round to dinner! There is immediate access to some terrific circular walks, including a spectacular cove with evidence of old smuggling activity, and varied scenery which we took advantage of on a daily basis. A short drive gives you access to diverse activities such as surfing, fishing, dining and even the Big Sheep if one is so inclined. Some reviewers have complained about the single-track road, the lack of immediate facilities and the tempremental nature of mobile phone signal in the area - we thought this was idyllic and simply added to our adventure! If you're looking for an away-from-it-all-forget-about-work holiday to spend quality time as a couple or a family you simply need look no further than Farrier's End! Can't wait to visit again."

"all equipment in the chalet is generally top class. There were too many ornaments around the chalet leaving little space for ones own articles. The internet image and general explanation of the property gives one to believe that it is part of a working holiday camp. This it used to be but the place is now becoming a park where people will be able to buy new holiday chalets currently under construction. so there is no swimming pool or restaurant and bar facilities open, just a few lines of terraced apartments about a mile above Woolacombe. I think the description of the site should be changed to the sites new name of Tranquility Park as opposed to the advertised location of Europa Park. There is fortunately a petrol station with an excellently equipped shop right next to the entrance of the "Park". It seems that the place is or has been a great place for the surfing fraternity. The people caretaking the holiday are very helpful and pleasant so all in all, apart from some bad weather. We had a comfortable stay, but not a place really sited for people of our age (70+) the terrain is too steep."

"Whoever is running this cottage clearly cares about about their customers. The location is perfect with a large balcony that looks out over the beach. The property is surprisingly spacious with three good sized bedrooms, large lounge/diner and a breakfast/PlayStation room. All my family were really impressed with the size and attractiveness of the space. What really impressed me though were the little details. There was some tea/coffee and milk already there, loo paper, a docking station DAB radio, TVs in each room, outside shower to rinse wetsuits, rack for surf boards. That's just what I can remember. It really felt like rather than try to maximise their profit, the owners had tried to anticipate what would make a stay more convenient and enjoyable and paid the little extra provide it. We had a great time. I wish more short-term rentals were this good. "

"Although Farrier's End is a lovely building and we enjoyed our stay, the description was rather misleading. To say it has a sea view is a gross exaggeration - at the very top of the steep garden, you can see a vague blue haze which is the sea, but that is all. We also got the impression that it was more isolated than it was. Immediately opposite, there are three other cottages belonging to the same people and the sounds carried. The directions said that the cottage is on the left hand side, whereas it is on the right hand side, which was a little confusing when there were cottages on the left. To sum up, the cottage itself was superb, but the description of the situation gave us the wrong expectations so we were a little disappointed."

"The apartment was spotless on arrival and having milk and a cake was very welcome. The location (for us) couldn't be bettered. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the balcony and people watching below and the sunsets were amazing. After surfing/body-boarding the area at the back with the outside shower was great and also meant that the wetsuits were dry the following day! We really couldn't fault the property and had a wonderful stay. Fabulous for us and three older children (young adults... we all had space). We had amazing weather all week (unusual for Woolacombe) so a lounger would have been an extra love, but that is a very minor point. Thank you to the owners and you for helping make our holiday great."
