"I stayed here for 3 nights with a group of girlfriends. The accommodation was excellent not perfectly clean but adequate, beds were all clean and fresh, an old period flint cottage with lots of quirky charm.Well equipped for our stay 2 showers which worked well, one over bath downstairs.Location superb for exploring locally, we ate in Wells-next-the-Sea prior to going to cottage and local pub food was excellent and only a 5 minute stroll from cottage. Adequate parking for 2 cars, once parked up we didn’t need to use cars, short 10 minutes walk to harbour where we all thoroughly enjoyed a boat trip to see the seals in abundance a real treat. After this we walked to Blakeney along the picturesque coastal path about 2km away, a lovely little seaside harbour village with quaint shops and plenty eateries and place to stop for a nice drink.Hot tub excellent emptied prior to our stay and warm enough to use early evening.Would highly recommend probably not good for people with mobility problems due to spiral staircase.WiFi not great but for me that was a bonus ?"

"Ratings would have been higher but the owners failed to acknowledge us contacting them to arrange key collection, we asked our booking provider what we should do and they said continue to property which we did only to have to search for keys for 30-minutes. When we entered there was no mains cold water connected and we had an 11-month old with us that can not drink bottled water. Eventually this got sorted by ourselves. The washing machine and dryer did not work and we specifically went to a property that had these facilities. There is no DVD player as per description, nor instructions for anything in property. To top the holiday off the owners bombarded my husband with messages as they wanted to enter the property to gain access to ‘tools’!! The cottage is lovely but very very poorly managed. Would not re-book."

"Have just got back from a wonderful weekend There was a party of 10 & two dogs. Everything we could of hoped for plenty of comfy seating in lounge, large kitchen with lots of cutlery pots pans etc. Beds were lovely I think we all slept really well over the weekend ?. Fantastic large backgarden plenty outdoor games supplied excellent verandah with plenty of comfy chairs. Enough towels supplied for everyone & even doggy towels which was a god send as we had forgotten ours! Two large ensuite bathrooms a downstairs toilet & another bathroom on 1st floor. Heating worked great & logs were supplied for log burner. Took a trip out to Wells-next-the-Sea beautiful fishing village & a very impressive beach with a lovely beach cafe. Thank you Lavender Cottage for making our yearly family gathering a fantastic one ❤️ x"

"A very comfortable stay in a cottage of character. The jacuzzi was especially appreciated, relaxing under the stars after a day walking the coast path was a real luxury! also appreciated was the view across the marshes from the balcony of the upstairs back bedroom. Very convenient for the boats to Blakeney Point, and the bus stop next door to the house was very convenient for reaching the start points for various stages of the coast path walk. The nearby Anchor PH was excellent, a good varied menu and friendly and efficient staff. Although situated on the main road through the village we were not troubled by traffic noise at all. We can thoroughly recommend Gull Cottage and hope to return for a further visit in the not too distant future. Thanks for a great holiday."

"Loved our stay at the Cow shed. Plenty of space, a beautifully converted and comfortable home. Ideally located for trips around Norfolk. A warm welcome from the owners who then left us to it but were close by should we need it. Perfect for us.The Cow shed would benefit from wifi or a phone line for emergencies or if someone needs to contact you. There is an outside tap to rinse your dogs off, but a hose attached would make the job easier. This is just a personal preference as washing 8 grubby paws in a bucket was strangely challenging. ?Great dog walks nearby at the Marriot Way (directions in the information folder)I would definitely stay again. Very peaceful and relaxing with lovely pubs and restaurants a short drive away."
