"we enjoyed this cottage. it has enough space for our family of 5 (inc teens and young adults) and a golden retriever. the cottage was very clean and had most things we needed for a good stay. the Christmas hamper was fabulous and a nice touch. could have done with more seating in the lounge but we brought in a chair from the hall. bathrooms are modern and 3 toilets is always a bonus with teens!the pale carpets were a challenge to keep clean in a wet, muddy and windy week as our dog loves muddy puddles and racing through waves so we appreciated the outdoor tap and hose and we needed this every time we came in from a walk for cleaning dog and boots.Glad we brought lots of dog towels with us! the garden is not absolutely dog proof if you have a dog who jumps up on walls easily just to see what's on the other side! Our dog got out of the garden on the first day as there is a low wall at one end - no harm done as we supervise our dog at all times. Great to have a field behind the house for the early morning canine walks before breakfast.this house is a great location for both North and South coasts and as we enjoy going to both - the location was good."

"A well appointed, clean and comfortable property. There were 4 adults and two teenagers plus 2 dogs and we were delighted with the whole experience. Being a winter stay we needed the heating on and there was a fairly major problem when we arrived.as the boiler kept cutting out. However a quick call to the owner soon sorted this and we were up and running within 24 hours. Great service!! The location is very close to a number of beaches, which in the winter is great for dog walking. In the summer they must be great for children as they are very sandy and safe. The Eden Project is very close which was great as we did have a few days of poor weather. The only downside is that there is only one toilet. Sometimes this proved to be a little inconvenient. Parking on the driveway is very tight but there is plenty of on road parking so no real issues. Highly recommend this as we think the value for money is great. The other bonus is that it is near to St Austell which has all the shopping facilities within 10 minutes."

"Wheal Daniel Cottage was perfect! The welcome basket on arrival was most welcome after a long drive & we were delighted to find such a well equipped, clean cottage, I think just about everything we needed had been provided. It suited our needs perfectly, not easy given our ages ranged from 15 to 75! Although the cottage is very rural, it is very central, we rarely had to drive more than 30 minutes to any of the fabulous places we visited. Jean and Duncan were very friendly and welcoming, they even posted some of my Dads clothes back to us when they discovered he had left them behind. The only minor criticism I have is that there is only seating for 5 in the lounge, although this was easily resolved by bringing in an extra arm chair from the hall. I would not hesitate in recommending this cottage to anyone"

"This is clearly a holiday accommodation that was created some 30 years ago and whilst perfectly clean and tidy is quite dated and minimally furnished with few homely features. The kitchen equipment provided is not really sufficient for six people if you want to cook in. The cooker is very small and pots and pans are few. The setting is delightful with a safe and secure outside area for children to play. We enjoyed our time in Ash but feel the owners need to think about updating a few things to bring it up to date."

"A very comfortable cottage with nice beds and a large sitting room. We went with teenagers so it was great having the sitting room upstairs where they could play their games on the TV when we were not out, giving us some space to relax. The kitchen was small but had everything needed, I liked the easy to work oven and the fact it had a washing machine. The harbour was literally a 5min walk with restaurants and even a little corner shop to get last minute bits."
