What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Swimming Pools In Totnes To Rent.

"It's a fabulous house, full of lovely antiques and pictures with a charming lived-in feel BUT it does seem a bit too lived in - drawers and cupboards stuffed full of junk, an old fax machine next to the bed, old christmas tree decorations lying around in April. Plus while spider webs and dead flies and even mouse droppings are to be expected in an old country house, if we're being charged 2,000 a week, we should be able to expect the kitchen to have been properly cleaned. It is just not pleasant to find drawers full of crumbs and sticky grease on the shelves. Also, the owner should made aware that the shower in the master bedroom is effectively useless (or broken). Still, we had a lovely holiday and would return."

"If you’re looking for peace and quiet - this is the place for you. Cornworthy is off the beaten track but still fairly close, easy driving distance to large towns of Totnes, Dartmouth, Kingsbridge although narrow Devon lanes involved. Pub eateries close by. Property excellently maintained - good size swimming pool, hot tub etc. Dave and Jane make you feel very welcome and Dave involves the kids at animal feeding time - it makes their stay. We found a great little Restaurant in Strete, only 25 minutes away -the Laughing Monk - recommended, good food, friendly staff. Dog owners - ask Jane for dog friendly beach locations. Excellent day out had at Strete Bank. WiFi connection. Aug 2011."

"We had an amazing stay at Vat House. The cottage is spacious and well equipped with lovely traditional decoration throughout. The facilities were great for us and our 2 children- they loved the pool and the whole pool area was lovely and warm so you can spend plenty of time swimming and relaxing. One slight issue is the internet connection not being good and phone reception being pretty bad- so make sure you plan all of your trips and days out in advance as it can be tricky trying to look for things here.We are looking forward to returning to Tuckenhay Mill next year. We loved the local area and Totnes and Dartmouth are beautiful with lots to do."

"Excellent quality of accommodation, and owners fantastic with the children (rides on the tractor, and interaction with the farm). Main bedroom excellent. Indoor Pool/hot tub excellent, but very slippery around pool area. Route to pool involves a significant flight of steps - again not easy for someone with mobility problems (we used neighbouring cottage path which avoided the steps). Garden and privacy very good. Second bedroom was fine with 2 young children (4 and 8), but would be small for older children. Stairs awkward for person with balance or mobility issues (my wife has MS and the stairs are very difficult to negotiate). July 2009."

"Amazing accommodationwe had a great family time and made lots of use of the pool. The cottage had a lovely homely feel but luxurious at the same time. Just bear in mind that dogs cannot be left at the cottage alone unless you have a crate to keep them in. We were provided with one and our dog was fine with it so it didn't impact on our holiday. The only negative I can think of are the windy single track roads leading to the cottage, with high hedges either side. I wasn't confident enough to drive but luckily my husband didn't mind."
