What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Thropton To Rent.

"Location was good for us as we were out every day & had a family wedding to attend in Hexham. However there were no amenities onsite & lots of building work to new lodges. Lake advertised was not as expected. Hot tub was not let down prior to our visit or that clean throughout our stay. Toilet seat kept coming off in main bathroom, I fixed it. Bin was broken in kitchen & shower head in ensuite was split so couldn't use without water spraying over top of shower screen & soaking everything. Did contact owners to inform them there were no spare keys as described in welcome pack & that bin was already broken. Didn't bother them with other stuff in the end as we were out but not the point. Unsure it was worth nearly a grand for the week?"

"This cottage had plenty of room for our family of five. Checking in and out was extremely simple and the people running the place were very friendly and welcoming - we felt at home. The cottage location was perfect for our day trips throughout North East Northumberland. The kitchen had all amenities we needed to prepare meals, do laundry, dishes, etc. The garden has a tennis court that the kids used very often and both bathrooms in the cottage were huge; the showers were great! The property was beautiful, with great views of the moorlands from our bedroom, peacefully quiet evenings and a very comfortable lounge area. If/when we return to the UK, we will stay here again without hesitation."

"This apartment is ideally placed to enjoy the lovely town of Rothbury - the riverside walks, dog friendly pubs and great little microbrewery, the cafes and and tea rooms. The apartment is spotlessly clean, warm and extremely comfortable. It was great to be able to enjoy a bath after a day's walking. The bright spacious dining kitchen was really nice and the beds very comfortable.A lovely drive over the moors takes you to Alnwick, with its castle, gardens and shops and a bit further gets you to the breathtaking Northumberland coastline. The owners of the apartment were very accessible and friendly, offering advice on where to eat or visit. We are looking forward to returning."

"The crockery was incomplete, only 2 bowls for a party of 6 for example and the cups, glasses and cutlery were made up of different sets. Not really a problem but you would not find this at other properties in this price band. The bottom shower rail in the main bedroom was nor clean and the towel rail was rust and should have been replaced a while ago. The BBQ area near the play area was dirty and the water tap was seized making the area unusable. The rest of the property and the grounds were excellent, the park is quite remote but exactly what we wanted."

"Lodge is new and modern, very well equiped and very clean when we arrived. Nice touches like robes to use, Netflix and washing products available. The decking area is quite large, nice outdoor furniture and lovely hot tub. Unfortunately the outlook from the hot tub was to the nearest restaurant car park and derelict otterburn hall hotel. The site is being developed and whilst there was no disruption from building works the view from the decking is not particularly pleasant. I expect when the site is complete and landscaped it will be more pleasant."
