"The cottage itself has been beautifully refurbished. It looks classy and contemporary with fresh, neutral colours throughout. The windows are all double glazed and the heating works well so the cottage felt very warm and comfortable. The bathroom had a powerful shower and a decent amount of space too. We've been in cottage bathrooms that were smaller and less comfortable. The cottage is situated very conveniently for the beach - it's only two minutes away. So we very much enjoyed a walk along the beach every day.The main bedroom bed was wider than a standard double (perhaps a queen-size but not a king?) and comfortable. The lounge and kitchen are cosy (i.e. nicely designed but not massively spacious). We found that it was perfect for us as there were only two of us. However, I suspect that both the lounge and kitchen table would be a little squashed (but manageable) if there were four of you.I have three niggles. One was about the supplies that were (or weren't) provided. We've stayed at eight other cottages with this cottages website in just over a year. And every single one of them provided enough dishwasher tablets for the entire stay. The Coastal Cottage only provided 2 dishwasher tablets for our 4-night stay. Along similar lines, every other cottage we've been in had kitchen foil (but not this cottage). The Coastal Cottage also provided us with only one toilet roll - whereas every other cottage provided a couple of spares. Other cottages have always provided a cheap bottle of handwash in the bathroom, but not this one. I mean, a bottle of Aldi handwash costs 55 pence - I'm not saying it has to be a top-of-the-range product. The Coastal Cottage is rated as a Grade 4 property on cottages dot com, but even the two Grade 3 properties we have stayed at within the last 18 months provided us with these small things. I have a suggestion for the owner: either provide these small things (that every other cottage we've stayed in has had) OR be clear in your response to this email that you will NOT be providing these things so that visitors can come suitably equipped. Either option is fine, so long as you manage people's expectations. We also had problems with the internet service. After 24 hours of switching the router off and on many, many times, I phoned the owner. She was very pleasant and suggested a different wifi connection and password. Unfortunately, this one didn't work terribly well either. I didn't want to be on the phone sorting these sorts of things out so gave up. But it was somewhat limiting when I wanted to check work emails, watch Netflix and so on.The final difficulty we had was with the washing machine. I carefully read the manufacturer's booklet for the washing machine and put a small load of laundry on the "Mini 30" wash, which was supposed to last 29 minutes. It actually lasted around 90 minutes! So be careful to leave much, much more time if you have to use the washing machine at all. However, both the relative lack of supplies and perhaps a problem with the washing machine timer were minor niggles. The lack of reliable internet was more irksome but not too problematic for us. And overall we had a lovely time."

"Less a cottage and more a mobile home/chalet bungalow, so very characterless outside. Inside comfortable very well appointed and generally very clean except the shower was developing a real mold problem; that bathmat has got to go! Comfy bed and fairly peaceful setting. The conservatory was really nice and despite the cold weather it warmed up well in the spring sunshine. There definitely a lack of basic equipment we have come to expect: there was no hair dryer; no radio alarm clock; very basic sets of kitchen equipment and the cutlery and crockery were a mishmash. (A massive great dish washer and insufficient equipment). Loads of spoons though! The shower was not very powerful for being the only form of bathing apart from the washbasin. The dog walks were lovely but you had to contend with a tricky fast country road to get anywhere. The area is so lovely and enjoyed days out but Orchard(?) Farm "Cottage" was not very homely to come back to."

"Had a really lovely holiday. The cottage worked really well for us. Only problem with William Crump was that they didn't know what light bulb to fit main light in one of the bedrooms with , so did n't have a main light for the week.We also booked Briar cottage and the cleanliness was not too good. Would rate it as a five for cleanliness. Also the beds were a bit on the narrow side and could feel metal poles under two of the beds.Overall the two cottages worked excellently for us and had a wonderful holiday. Very good for the dogs. Nice o have the enclosed space around the cottages. William Crump was good for my mum's wheelchair, which was a great relief.. My nephews and niece loved the swimming pool and awas a great asset"

"So many thanks - we have loved spending a week in this fantastic property - it has been an absolute treat! For visits - enjoyed a local walk early in the week, we got to The Munnings Museum near Dedham, and to The Little Hall in Lavenham - both lovely visits for two of our guests who are amateur artists. We enjoyed a super Easter Day lunch in 'The Peacock' just up the road - we had booked ahead and to be honest on that day it was a good thing as it was totally booked out. It was fantastic food - highly recommended. We both feel we have had a much needed relaxing time - such a comfortable week in the cottage. Thank you for the very warm welcome and all the help given. Perfect! "

"My parents and I enjoyed our little break. The cottage is well equipped with comfortable seating and beds. The decor was lovely with white washed floor boards and blue painted doors. There was a couple little extras that would have been nice, if the kitchen had been supplied with Condiments and even a throw/blanket for the cooler months provided in the lounge. The indoor pool was great, warm and we had it all to ourselves. The only real downside was that electricity was included with our booking before the end of October but it ran out on day 2 and we needed to top up the meter, not a problem if we’d been made aware of this rather than going into pitch black at 10pm."
