What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Staveley In Cartmel To Rent.
- Mrs Jamieson, August 2017 - verified booking
"The house was very well equipped and nicely decorated and we loved the upstairs living room. Although we didn't use it, the piano was an unexpected extra. We were very grateful for the reclining chairs after our days out walking. The house had a good selection of information about local walks which were easy to follow and our dog loved. We had a great week with excellent weather and would love to return another year. Staveley is a gem of a village. There is a community shop and artisan bakery close by and a Spar and very good post office a stone's throw from the house. The people in the PO were very helpful too. Hawkshead Brewery and Wilf's cafe are close by and well worth a visit. There were also a couple more coffee shops that we intended to try but sadly didn't have time. A nice butcher's, a yummy fish and chip shop, the Eagle and Child pub (also well worth a visit) and a very handy recycling centre complete the amenities. The train station was handy for a day trip to Windermere to follow in Wainwright's footsteps up to Orrest Head and the spectacular views."

"Accessing the property with the safe box is great. Location was brilliant. Access to summer house and BBQ was lovely as the weather enabled us to sit outside of an evening. The parking by the side of the house is very tight if you have to open all four doors. Kitchen was very well equipped. Beds very comfortable. An extra hand towel in the bathroom would have been useful as, as a female I require a body towel and a hair/face towel, being fussy I prefer a separate towel for drying my hands. Water was always hot and the shower pressure was great. The washer/dryer came in handy. Have already recommended the cottage and your company to family, friends and colleagues and would definitely like to come back. Thank you for all you help"

"We had a fabulous time in Kingfisher barn Staveley Cumbria. It was everything we hope for and more, tastefully furnished and like home from home. Great location for walking in the fells and only 10 minutes drive from Lake Windermere with it's bustling atmosphere and a wide variety of restaurants. An amazing place for star gazing as it has very low light pollution. The staff at the Cumbria office were extremely helpful and friendly, offering advice on places to dine that were nearest to the cottage which really helped. We would definitely recommend it, and would happily stay here again. regards the courtney family."

"The cottage is very central to the village of Staveley and overlooks a fantastic coffee shop - it is extremely close to the Brewery and to all other amenities and the pub is easily walkable. The cottage had almost everything you could need, hidden in cupboards all over the place, and it all worked really well. Three good sized bedrooms, in fact the downstairs doubles are huge, and the walk in shower is now on our list of wants. Lovely views and very light and full of air. Lots of local places to walk the dog and it's safe to say that the Lake District is the most dog friendly region I have ever visited!"
