What our customers are saying about our Easter Cottages In Staffordshire To Rent.

"Overall the cottage was just about okay. There were simple things that let it down.Positive-The cottage was in a good location for walking the manifold way up to Wetton hill and Thors cave. It was on the main road though and very noisy. It had character and the wood burner was good for warming the house up.The kitchen area was small but had good equipment. You would struggle to fit 4 people around table.Negative- overall cleanliness was really bad and comment book had many comments about this. The cushions on the sofa had lots of stains on them.Bedding was clean though.Main bed was uncomfortable and springs and electric blanket could be felt.Small tv which scratched our DVD and then wouldn't play others. The towels were too small.I wouldn't stay there again I'm afraid."

"This is a cheap and cheerful little cottage. The lady who owns it is lovely and very helpful. There was tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, shower gel and especially impressive baby bath gel and a novelty sponge for the children in the cottage when we arrived. The cottage does require some improvements though: It needs a deep clean, we had to clean pans and drawers before we could use them. The uplighters have spiders living in them and there were a lot of cobwebs. The single room has a fire door in it with a push bar, if using this room with a child it’s a big concern for parents, it really should be mentioned in the cottage description. WiFi would be a great addition as the signal isn’t great."

"The property is an excellent example of a refurbishment, with fittings of a high standard. The shower room is particularly stunning, showing the excellent taste and skill of the owners. This is a property which is fairly remote, providing a quiet base away from the hurly burly of modern life, yet not too remote for those who want to visit tourist attractions and towns such as Buxton and Bakewell and the owners are often available should you need suggestions or advice. The views from The Calf Shed are beautiful, even when shrouded in mist . I would recommend this location and this property to anyone. Relax and enjoy."

"A lovely cottage in a picturesque location where you can undertake a hike right from the doorstep. A couple of pubs nearby but no grocery shops so best to stock up before you get there. The cottage is right on a road so there is some traffic noise but it's not overly busy. No phone signal (not unusual in the area in general!) and no wifi in the cottage (although there is wifi in the local pub) so send any last-minute communications beforehand :-). There's a nice outdoor area and BBQ, and a parking spot around the back of the property. A lovely place to stay for a few days and would stay again."

"Lovely holiday over the Christmas period. On entering the property I was greeted with a large decorated Christmas tree which was beautiful, mince pies, tea & coffee for starters, wood for the wood burners which when lit made the cottage cosy and warm, however not needed if that not your thing as the central heating was very efficient and kept the property lovely and warm. Excellent position near to the lovely village of Eccleshall and perfect walks over fields or quiet country lanes for my little border terrier Fizz. Many many thanks for a perfect Christmas stay."
