What our customers are saying about our Big Cottages In Staffordshire Moorlands To Rent.

"Coming from France (Paris) we enjoyed our stay in Grange Road cottage in August 2017. We were really well received by the owners. The location is really quiet, in the open countryside. The first morning waking up we were able to observe with our 3 kids a squirrel in the trees facing the conservatory and the parent bedroom. Amazing light and sunsets sitting and eating in the conservatory. Access to the cottage by car is ok directly lower from the road and a large private car park is available next to the cottage. The cottage location is ideal to plan visits and walks around it, in the Peak District and not far from Manchester and Liverpool as well. The only thing lacking was a dish-washer as we are a family of five but we have bypassed it by sharing with the kids friendly moments of wiping glasses, plates and cutlery."

"Had a pleasant week at ‘Grange Cottage’ although struggled to find it initially as it was in fact called ‘Hurst Vale Cottage’! Location chosen deliberately for what we wanted to do. Disappointed that all local facilities were a drive away. Cottage was accommodating for 2 sets of adultsand generally clean although the bins could have done with a wash following last guests especially in the hot weather. Recycle information rather confusing, I hope we got it right. Plumbing very strange and wouldn’t although bath to be run and any other operation at any one time- easily solved. What was a little disconcerting was a strong smell of oil in the kitchen which didn’t fade as the week progressed. All in all an enjoyable week with lots achieved."

"We chose this property because of its location and size initially. It proved very easy to book and the emailed arrival instructions were also very clear. The welcome basket was the first of many super extras that the website did not mention or show. We have had many years of 'holiday lets' and without doubt this is the best we've ever experienced - in this country, Europe and USA. Everything has been tastefully decorated, the property is spotlessly clean, and has been so expertly equipped that nothing was left out. During our stay we made full use of the garden - for playing croquet, dining and just enjoying the atmosphere in the evenings. We would have no hesitation in recommending Overton Bank House to anyone."

"Everything was well thought out, we walked in to instant holiday mode. The cottage was set in a lovely wooded area great for the children to explore and use their imaginations. Inside the very impressive cottage was a well equipped kitchen, plenty of lovely weight towels and, a real bonus for a party of 10 including 5 children, was a washing machine and dryer. The living room was well equipped with entertainment and a lovely wood burner, and there was a huge dining table for all the party to dine at. Best of all was the hot tub! It was well used all week and well maintained every morning by an on site manager, who was also very helpful with any queries."

"We arrived at the property and were overwhelmed with the size and cleanliness that this charming house offered. The property was large enough for 7 adults and one dog, the lounge was spacious and we quickly had the wood fire roaring away. The bedrooms were good size and the two bathrooms had a massive bathtub each which were lovely to relax in after a hard days walking and taking in the lovely scenery. We enjoyed exploring the limestone ridges and rolling hills that were right on our doorstep. The property had enough space for three cars to park and had a large barbeque which we used during a dry spell. Would highly recommend for families and couples."
