"We could not sit on the settees downstairs as they too were damp. The bedrooms were fine although the single beds the bed sheets were not properly fitted and were constantly falling off the beds during the night making them uncomfortable. The kitchen area was the best part of the cottage with plenty of utensils and the garden area was beautiful especially in the evening watching the sunset with a nice bottle of wine. The inside could do with some TLC, it was very damp downstairs and although the smell was masked by lovely fresh lavender, you could feel it sat on the sofas. Having stayed in older cottages in this area every year for the last ten years it's this first time dampness has been this extreme. The caretaker Deanna was fab and told us of new hidden treasures we hadn't yet been to, she was also quick to sort a wasps nest that we found during our stay. We really love this part of Cornwall and will continue to return"

"It is well equipped with an enclosed sun trap courtyard and a wood burner to take the chill off in the evening. The locals are a friendly bunch and the village pub is great. We had to change our holiday dates and this was handled perfectly by Sykes. Very enjoyable break!Good place to take your dog and in a village with a friendly pub that did good food.It was just what we had hoped for beforehand, it's always nice when that happens.. We walked in beautiful countryside every day and came home with tired dogs to comfort and a fire each evening.. We slept well and ate well and our week there went by much too quickly. Julie, the owner, was helpful and friendly, and the cream tea waiting our arrival was the nicest way for our holiday to begin.. We hope to return when we can, sooner rather than later, we'd be daft not to.."

"We had a lovely time there. Next door neighbour was very helpful if we needed anything. The fairy lights in the conservatory were a nice touch, we spent a few nights in there! The only slight gripe we had was the oven; the numbers had worn off the control knobs, so you didn't really know how hot the halogen rings or the oven were. We like to cook most of our meals, so we spent a lot more on restaurants than we anticipated. As I say, this was only a minor thing, everything else was fine. Also, we found a good butchers, an excellent fishmonger and a good wine merchant in Wadebridge; these things are few and far between in Cornwall, as most of the shops (especially in the tourist areas) tend to sell crystals and assorted tat. We would definitely recommend this place, as it has a lot of character."

"Quaint little road. Liked the garden opposite and the the extra room. Nice big bathroom and very clean. Novel to have a steam room and used it (although couldn't get it to work the following day). The summer house is a delight and great place for kids and adults alike to spend the day . The cottage was very clean, location is great and very helpful caretaker Tracy ! Will definitely go againThe house was beautiful, spotless and provided everything we needed whilst the garden room was an especially welcome addition, providing a comfortable, light and bright amenity for inclement days and cool evenings."
