"We stayed at waterside house in September 2015 for 7 nights. We used this amazing property for a family reunion and everyone had a great time. From the minute we drove down the long driveway and saw this very private and huge house on the banks of the reservoir we knew the property was special. All the rooms are huge with ensuites, so everyone had the chance to relax and the many entertaining areas also meant plenty of space for all the family members and kids. The table tennis and croquet sets were a hit with the kids and adults alike! The area is fantastic with lots of activities including quad bike riding, boating, go ape & fishing right out the front door. There are also lots of great pubs with great food in the area, our favourite was the Bull which is a very old pub less than 10 minutes away. We will definitely be back!"

"Very well equipped and comfortable grade II listed building on two floors. Ideal for local car touring and walking is possible. We found it perfect as couple with small dog and totally secure large, mainly grass garden. Nearest shop (e.g. for pint of milk on Sunday) was at Paddock Wood, about 5 miles away.) The limitation of the listed building comfort is that en-suite isn't available so nocturnal journeys needed to go downstairs for facilities. If walking, Cuckoo lane is single track with few cars leading to Tong lane which has faster traffic as it is slightly wider but not recommended as there are no safe footpaths. There is a field gate about 150 yards at end of Cuckoo lane which allows walking just inside orchard boundary to connect with public footways. Dogs need to be kept on lead due local sheep worrying issues."

"We want to thank you for organising our trip to Dairy Cottage, it was all very last minute! We also want to thank Jane for being a wonderful host. We wanted to upload a review, but as we can't do that directly we've forwarded it on to you. We had a wonderful short break at Dairy Cottage over the May Bank Holiday. • Jane is a great host, we got a very warm welcome. The cottage has been put together with a lot of thought and is well kitted out. • The location is wonderful. At the top of a valley, the views are beautiful with no one overlooking the property. • Ticehurst and Wadhurst are both beautiful villages, with great pubs, delis etc. There's also Bewl water, as well as Bodiam castle, Battle, Hastings - so masses to do within 30 mins drive. The cottage is a real find. Highly recommended. "

"We went to Waterside House for a reunion weekend which is something we do every year but this was definitely our favourite of the places we have stayed in. It has an unbeatable location on Bewl water, is secluded but not cut off, there are wonderful walks around the lake and even a pub you can walk to. The house itself has everything you could wish for, the bedrooms are large and beautifully decorated and there is plenty of space throughout to relax, get together and have fun (the hot tub was very popular, even in October). The owner was very welcoming and helpful and gave us lots of useful information about walks, local facilities and also provided us with details for a caterer. We will definitely come back and look forward to our next visit."

"A great cottage in the middle of nowhere - which is a good thing for us! Stayed with our (reactive) dog, so having an enclosed garden is really important for us and she loved it. Served as a great base for a few days walking in the local area. Was a 10 min drive to local shops that we could see (there may have been closer though). The cottage itself is really spacious for two people and had everything we needed. Only way to improve for us would be to provide some more personal info on the local area (walks, pubs, shops etc) - as there were plenty of info leaflets for attractions, but there wasn't anything about what was on the doorstep. All-in-all, a great stay and we would definitely consider returning."
