"The positives are that the house is big, the fire is fantastic and is very well equipped for large groups, in fact it was probably had some of the largest cooking pans we had ever had in a rented house. It was lovely and warm due to the fire and the main barn are was very sympathetically done and was a great space to eat and socialise. The rooms were comfortable although the beds were simple doubles, a shame as the bedrooms are large and bigger beds would make such a difference. We did have an issue but it was resolved by the Estate manager that day which was vey good. There were a few negatives but nothing that would prevent us from returning. The main issue is the water pressure in the showers which was very poor - everyone had to take it in turns which for a large group was not ideal. Also not every bathroom had a shower and as most people prefer them, bathrooms with them, had to be used my multiple people. The actual design of the house is a little awkward in terms of flow. Due to fact that the cars were generally parked at the back in the courtyard space, when entering the leaving the house the doors into the kitchen were used as the main doors. All the space to keep muddy and in our case, wet boots and jackets however was located by the front door on the other side of the kitchen. A small thing that was just annoying. The sink leaked and the dishwasher stopped working but a plumber was sent out and fixed them on the same day. We did however have a great time despite the weather"

"Fantastic cottage, just perfect for our large mixed age group. So much space downstairs and all bedrooms beautifully clean and very comfortable. The swimming pool was such a treat, so lovely for us to use just to ourselves, so used it everyday, the children loved it and so did the adults!!! The games court was well used too and we all enjoyed a game of football and badminton for the first time in years. Our cottage had a very large enclosed garden with a patio, so the little ones could run around outside safely, whilst we relaxed on the patio. Views all around us were lovely. The cottage is perfect for a large group the open plan kitchen is very well equipped, with everything you need from saucepans to a rolling pin. The dining area is lovely and the sitting area makes the cottages very inclusive. We all enjoyed watching a film together, whilst some of us cooked without feeling left out!!! Everywhere is beautifully clean and tidy.I cant fault the owners, as we arrived after a last minute booking they were exceptionally helpful and gave us great ideas for days out, which we ended up doing. We had an amazing day at Chester Zoo, definelty recommend it, so much to see there. The local market town is so pretty, has lots of great independent shops and cafes, bars and also Tesco's, Sainsburys and Lidl, which is very useful. We will be going back as all the family had such a wonderful time catching up on missed months apart. Great value for money especially with our large group."

"The description of the property is accurate but the pool is tiny. One of the double rooms upstairs is very very small with only a skylight my son and his wife could not get their things in it and had to leave bags on the landing. The downstairs room is well decorated and comfortable and is spotlessly clean. It is a lovely room but has a deary view as has the outdoor seating area. Coffee, tea, milk, sugar and cleaning materials were providedThe downstairs bedroom has a high sided bath with a shower over it, I did not read this carefully enough and wrongly assumed there would be a shower. As I am a stroke survivor and can climb a step into the property but I am not able to climb into a high sided bath so others booking the property need to read the description more carefully than I did, as there is no other shower. I was left with a wash basin only to wash in. Usually the down stairs bedroom has a shower so that those who cannot climb stairs can wash. The mistake was entirely mine."

"My group thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Windy Mundy Farm, there were just a few issues: there was no hot water or heating in the annex the first morning this was resolved very quickly, we would have found two dishwashers more useful than two washing machines, the bathroom arrangements were a bit of a problem as three had to share the jack and jill bathroom including the person on the mezzanine up the spiral staircase, whilst this is probably ok for family groups for mature adult singletons it is an issue, this would be helped if there was a cloakroom/loo on the ground floor. The mezzanine bedroom is rather inaccessible added to which we could hear rats/mice/squirrels in the rafters! The addition of a shower in the annex bathroom would be useful rather than the shower for the sauna which is rather exposed! We loved the setting and the barn is a beautiful conversation, it suited our requirements and was a great base for our garden visits. I would certainly recommend it to others."

"This gorgeous farmhouse was the perfect hideaway for a weekend spent celebrating a birthday with family. We especially loved the welcoming kitchen with everything thought of right down to the plastic bowls for the little ones and the baby cham glasses for adults – perfect for our celebratory champagne! Sarah, the caretaker had left a lovely selection of jams along with local welsh cakes and fruit cakes – simply scrummy with a cuppa tea! If you can drag yourself away from the cosiness of the open log fire and comfy couches, or if you’re just a little desperate for some phone signal, then head to nearby Lake Vyrnwy which was very pretty. I would also recommend The Eagles Inn pub, a little further away but right next to Lake Bala, for a dog-friendly pub with the most welcoming and hospitable staff. Try the delicious locally bred homemade steak and ale pie but be aware – huge portions!"
