"Cleeton Barn Gate is a comfortable cottage closely located to Ludlow and the Welsh Marches. The cottage is spacious and well equipped, as with any rural property the WiFi signal is poor and can be intermittent, but the owners will try to resolve any problems. There is a cattle grid outside the bedroom window, we got used to it very quickly but it may disturb light sleepers. The owners have two sheepdogs, who are friendly (and enjoy playing fetch, if you have the time) and the owners are happy to let your own dog run around the larger grounds of the property, which was very useful. The cottage is situated on the edge of moorland and there are a lot a sheep loose in the area, which should be borne in mind if you have a dog, who likes to chase & play. The property has an enclosed but not secure garden. A 3 foot wall and picket fence surround the garden, which was fine for our dog, but a larger dog or one that is quite agile and enjoys exploring, would be able to get out quite easily. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a break in the area. It is well located for Ludlow/Kidderminster and beyond. Although co-located with the owners property, it does feel private and they are keen to help with any issues you have without being intrusive."

"Clean. Accommodation flexible (lots of bedrooms). However, our double bedroom did not have a wardrobe! Kitchen well equipped and sufficient size for our large (12) group. Lounge dreadful, massive space, lighting appalling. The lounge was chilly during the day and freezing in the evening (rainy June). The central-heating is totally inadequate in this room. There is a log burning "feature fire" which has seen better days, which guests have to light, it is useless at heating such an enormous space. Besides freezing, everybody spending the evening in there comes out reeking of smoke! We were under the impression that this property was suitable for people with mobility issues, it is not. There are steps into the property and steps between the kitchen and the lounge. The access road got very boggy and rutted due to the torrential rain when we were there. So, anyone with a small or low car may want to be aware of this."

"Whilst the Barn itself offered lovely views the noise from the traffic which went past the bedroom early morning/ late evening was not our idea of a good nights sleep. Far noisier than we expected didn't get a good nights sleep at all. Whilst spotlessly clean and a beautiful space to be in there were things we expected at the price we paid, Owner very friendly and helpful very pleasant. Would have been nice to have a welcome pack( some thing local to the area )and a comments book (couldn't find one).Very close to Ludlow and a beautiful setting just a shame about the noise so close to the windows.."

"Sharon the owner is lovely a great host nothing is too much trouble. There was a wi fi issue but it was fixed as soon as humanly possible. Plenty of space and grassy areas to safely exercise dogs, the owners 2 border collies are friendly to humans and visiting dogs. Our virgin phone network reception was zero but other provders do work. Some visitors have mentioned the noise from vehicles passing over a cattle grid close to the bedroom but our sleep was not disturbed but it may affect light sleepers."

"Lovely comfortable cottage with everything you need, the pictures do not do it justice. Location is ideal for exploring the three counties and even Wales is not too far to venture. The welcome pack was much appreciated and the home made cake is becoming a bit of a legend! Although an over bath shower was advertised this was no longer available but the en-suite shower room more than makes up for it. We enjoyed a short break in a lovely cottage and do not have any hesitation in recommending it."
