What our customers are saying about our Child Friendly Cottages In Selsey To Rent.

"We were a large group of numerous families with too many children to count ranging in age from one to ten. We all had a fantastic time. The house is very well laid out and equipped. We could have packed lighter. Plenty of space for people to come together around the large kitchen table and comfortable garden seating. Also some quiet time in the myriad room or the expansive gardens. The beach was so quiet too. We practically had it to ourselves. As a Mi.dlander I enjoyed swimming in the sea and my husband and I swam with our four year old son in the sea altogether for the first time. Magical. It was a huge bonus to be able to walk to the beach and not have to load up the car with everything you may need and then worry about parking made our beach trip so easy. We wandered to the children's park but have to confess that is all the exploring we did. The huge garden and calm sea were attractions enough to keep all the adults and children happy. In short we would happily recommend for a gathering of many families. We all expected it to be fraught but the thoughtfully organised house and garden and the location to the beach location meant that it was actually relaxing. No small feat with so many toddlers around."

"We had a great week in this cosy little cottage. Sam the dog loves his week at the beach (we live inland), and it is very handy for the pebble beach at East Wittering and a very short drive to the sandy beach at West Wittering. In his younger days he might have walked it, but he is old and arthriticky now, so walks have to be shorter. Some nice restaurants nearby that are happy to take dogs, but sadly restricted opening hours, so we didn't go to them as often as we wanted (maybe better in the summer?) . Some of the open air museums in the area (Weald and Downland, Amberley) are also happy to let dogs in, so we had some good days out when we could dodge the showers. Currently there are builders at the property opposite, and the owner was concerned that we would be OK with that, but although we had to ask them to move their lorry on a couple of occasions (the lane is narrow), they were no trouble, and always obliging."

"During our time we have spent this year in Seahaven. We have been amazed by the wildlife in the garden and in the field behind the house. In the garden there are squirrels, rabbits, foxes, and the birds we have seen include a young green woodpecker, jays, pigeons, collared dove blackbirds, greater spotted woodpeckers (red, black and white) and various other small birds like sparrows its and wrens and red legged partridges too. In the field we also saw a vixen and her fox cubs, three fallow deer and in the spring curlews and shell ducks. Just sit quietly and watch... There are many distinctive flowers in the beach. The flowers growing in the field behind is a haven all sorts of insects and butterflies. Many thanks"

"We loved staying at Apple tree cottage. It was very comfortable and cosy It was close to or on numerous walks. The weather for the time of year was good too, bar one day. It is a fun place with lots of history, local shops , pubs and places to see kept us busy all week . Well stocked with games although we’d brought our own . Definitely worth booking I did make a slight bloomer in thinking 8 adults could use it but it’s a 6 +2 children as one bedroom is off another. No problem though as booked my brother and his wife into an air B and B close by . We cooked either breakfast or supper and are together on the large table and played games till late . Simply a marvellous holidayCould benefit from WiFi Thank you"

"This was our third visit to this property in the last 4 years, we were shocked and disappointed at the deterioration since 2012. The back garden was overgrown and untended with broken paving tiles and the garden furniture was old and worn. The carpet was stained and the sofas were grubby and smelly! The fridge had a faulty temperature control and several mornings we found all the food frozen solid! There were several issues which were brought up with the maintenance man of which one only was resolved and that took 3 days and several phone calls!Overall its a lovely house in a good location but now in need of a lot of TLC!"
