"This property is very well equipped with everything that you need for a large group of all ages. It had well stocked kitchen, generous welcome pack, beach towels and even toys in the garage to take to the beach! It is in much need of modernisation as the decor is very old fashioned however this is reflected in the price and it is much cheaper than other rentals of this size. With such an abundance of space and comfortable surroundings, it does not take long to ignore the dated decor.Perhaps purchasing a new suite would be a good start because they look a bit grubby and new mattresses on the double beds would be more comfortable. Lastly, dog owners will appreciate the large garden however there is a large gap under the front gate which we had to block using the car and wheelie bins for peace of mind. All in all, great value for money with lovely owners who were very accommodating when we left something behind which they kindly forwarded on to us."

"A lovely property in an excellent location, perfect for our Great North Run weekend (approx. 30 mins from Newcastle/South Shields). Overall the property was very spacious and well laid out with plenty of seating areas, an excellent dining area and 3 good bathrooms - all essential for our party of 13. The only thing I would say is that the kitchen is quite small with only a regular sized cooker/oven which meant a bit of a juggling act when we were cooking for so many, however, the kitchen was well equipped and had the benefit of good sized pans and plenty of serving dishes so we managed fine. Another positive was the large American fridge - so plenty of space for drinks as well as the food! The hidden games room was brilliant. We would not hesitate to stay again. A hot tub in that lovely inner courtyard would be a bonus to sooth our weary legs after the run!"

"The cottage was spacious and an good sized garden. Unfortunately the decor is looking tired and dated , the cooker was not clean and baking trays and some of the crockery were also dirty. I was surprised that as we were asked to put the bins out on a Monday, that they hadn't left any spare bin liners for the household bins.I was also disappointed that we were disturbed in the evening by a couple of people wanting to view the house as it was apparently on the market, which they showed us on rightmove when we said it was a holiday cottage. With a little extra thought and attention to detail this could be made into an excellent holiday home.I was impressed by how swiftly Jonathan fixed the cooker, when it was blowing fuses and also updated us about the power being switched off. The welcome pack was also lovely, local tea, shortbread and jam."

"Northumberland is a vast county as we had a lot of things we wanted to do, from visiting the fabulous Kielder Observatory to taking the boat across to the Farne Isles, which meant finding a place somewhere in the middle. Stone Cottage was ideal for this. It's proximity to Morpeth and the excellent butchers and cheese shop, alongside many others was also a big benefit. The cottage was perfect for us, a family of three. Our little fella is in a wheelchair and although the cottages not adapted it is very flat and allowed him to get around the house. The facilities covered all our requirements and the cottage was very clean. We were given some basic provisions on arrival such as bread, butter, milk and eggs and a wonderful home baked cake.An excellent cottage for a wonderful county."

"Residential location, no privacy. Our children were playing in the garden and the neighbours were out watching what they were doing. Also public walkway at the back of the property, constant stream of people walking dogs.States parking for 3 cars we were informed by owner on arrival, neighbours would not be happy if extra cars parked.Asked to put out garden waste bin which she shared with neighbours?????Also owner informed us to leave dirty laundry in front porch for collection on Friday. She would not enter property, however she did enter and in our opinion look around to see what we had been doing."
