What our customers are saying about our Summer Holiday Cottages In Prudhoe To Rent.

"Great location for exploring the local area. Nice cottage with great views though it looks like they may be building at the front so the view may not be so great in the future. The house was nice inside. Nice bathrooms and bedrooms with good quality fittings and furnishings. Kitchen was reasonably well equipped - nice cooker etc. - though it could do with more crockery, cutlery and utensils. A family of four would struggle if all you have is four or six of certain things. A few things need attention. A number of light bulbs gone, things like towel hooks and bathroom cabinets not fixed to wall very securely. Decor also very bland with magnolia cream and beige everywhere. A bit more imagination would be nice. These are all minor issues, however. Overall a very comfortable stay with nice quality beds and sofa and bathrooms. Local pub excellent. Already recommended to friends!"

"Lovely stylish and spacious apartment in a good location in the town. Apartment 7 is at the top of Hexham House (second floor) and it’s a bit of a climb but views are great across the gardens and Hexham Abbey one way, and into the hills from the other bedroom. Everything is well laid out. There is no washing machine or easily usable ironing board but otherwise excellently equipped. The town has many good supermarkets, a station to get into Newcastle/Carlisle and also good coffee shops and cafés in the market area. There is an excellent french restauarant next door. Hexham is in a good position for exploring Hadrian’s Wall, Corbridge Roman Town, Newcastle and the coast to the north. All in all, an excellent apartment and very well managed by Jamiesons."

"Arranged at last moment with help of Sykes after a previous booking had to be cancelled due to burst pipes at the property. Cottage so convenient for eating at Boatside Inn across the courtyard. Food there extremely good and also able to arrange takeaway if preferred to eating at the restaurant. Only snag during our stay was problem with WiFi and difficulty using mobile: WiFi seemed to be down at the Boatside and around the village. Would definitely recommend North Tyne Cottage, but perhaps not suitable if any disability climbing steep stairs.Highly recommended. Served as a useful base for visits to numerous historical sites in the area.We loved it."

"We would probably not have booked this cottage had there been more warning in the brochure about the low ceilings upstairs. Seating in the sitting room was rather limited - the 2-seater sofa was fine, but the other 2 chairs were small and uncomfortable - they look different from what is in the brochure. That said, the cottage in general was lovely, including the garden. I have never stayed in an RR property where £5 was requested if I used more than the (meagre) initial supply of logs in the stove - it was August so not an issue, but at Lightpipe in the same county a massive pile of logs is provided for no extra money at all."

"Ideally located, clean and comfortable with good parking arrangements. It did not have a washing machine as described, or adequate hot water in the kitchen sink- but this is apparently being addressed. We were not offered a discount because of these faults. Manager offered to take our washing to a laundry.Communication was very poor. We texted, phoned and emailed repeatedly but got no reply to specific queries either before our arrival or during our stay. We were promised a second key but it was not delivered.Check in time was incorrectly advertised as 3pm, but is actually 4pm.Despite the hassles, I'd probably stay there again."
