"Beautiful cottage which is exceptionally well equipped. Very peaceful setting in a very small hamlet of about 12 properties. Nearest shop is 2.5 miles away in Marfen although was closed while we were there. Don’t expect food shops on your doorstep so plan for at least your 1st evening and breakfast. Next nearest was Corbridge which has little Co-op but some lovely little shops too. For major food shopping Hexham is great with big Tesco, plus Aldi and Waitrose. Lots of other lovely shops too. Beautiful countryside all around cottage with amazing walking to be done. Lovely welcome from owners Michelle and Rob with unexpected fresh baked loaf, lovely jam and few other extras. Please be mindful that satnav May try to send you down tracks and dead ends. Mine is only 2 years old and didn’t recognise the dead ends and kept trying to send me down them. Was approx 3.5 mile journey down single track which is undulating with a few passing points. Was lovely but suspect treacherous in winter. We had fun when the farmer didn’t lock the gate properly one time and 4 cows and a bull escaped and led us down the last of the track down to the A road where they kindly stopped the traffic for us! There are other routes once you find your way around but if relying on satnav may be an issue for some. Cottage is by far the nicest we have stayed in by far and would highly recommend and would be happy to return."

"Great location for exploring the local area. Nice cottage with great views though it looks like they may be building at the front so the view may not be so great in the future. The house was nice inside. Nice bathrooms and bedrooms with good quality fittings and furnishings. Kitchen was reasonably well equipped - nice cooker etc. - though it could do with more crockery, cutlery and utensils. A family of four would struggle if all you have is four or six of certain things. A few things need attention. A number of light bulbs gone, things like towel hooks and bathroom cabinets not fixed to wall very securely. Decor also very bland with magnolia cream and beige everywhere. A bit more imagination would be nice. These are all minor issues, however. Overall a very comfortable stay with nice quality beds and sofa and bathrooms. Local pub excellent. Already recommended to friends!"

"The 'house' was not at all suitable for a dog as the living room was upstairs and dogs were not allowed upstairs. The downstairs bedroom had no windows so was dark and airless. The upstairs bedroom was too light. The blinds on the window were useless and there was a street lamp outside. The velux windows had blinds on them but it was impossible to reach them so they were uncovered all the time. There was no dishwasher which is fair enough but there was no draining board to put the washed items. With a wet dog and child, it would have been a good idea to come and go through the utility room but then the dog (and the rest of us) would have had to go through the downstairs bedroom (which was not allowed).I would not describe the house as 'end of terrace'. It was more like a garage conversion! It looked very modern and attractive inside but was really not very user friendly."

"Although I read in other reviews that Millside is a quiet place, We would like to remark that the supplying of the shops in the morning is quite noisy. Millside is located just behind Bridge Street and is opposite parking spots for the centre. This said: we had a very nice and pleasant stay in Morpeth. The (big) house has 3 bedrooms and is very wel furnished and equiped. The location is five footsteps from the center and close to the busstation. The trainstation is within 10 minutes walk. We travelled in Northumberland by bus and train and that went very well. Morpeth is a nice market town with enought restaurants and shops. The people are very, very nice! We are sure to come back!"

"Fantastic tardis property. From the outside looks like a garage but once inside the property is a vast, comfortable, well equipped cottage with lots of light. This is the first time I have holidayed like this. It was easily big enough for a family of 4. The only negative point was there was no outside area attached to the property for our dog to go out, so all toilet needs had to be done attached to a lead walking along the beach. Not ideal at midnight or 7 am. We weren't able to park outside the property either as a neighbour (white van man) parked outside before we got back every day and then made a racket when he left every morning about 6 am."
