"Our family stay at Stelling in early May was very much enjoyed. The house is like a tardis with much more room than you would imagine from the front! It was clean, comfortable, well equipped with everything you could need, and very well placed for walking into Emsworth both by footpath and by road which was preferable for our granddaughter's pushchair. Emsworth is well served with lots of places to eat and drink and an excellent Co-op for daily needs as well as chemist, bakery, butcher and fishmonger, and lots of smaller shops to explore. We had Sunday lunch in the Coal Exchange which was very good and a birthday lunch in the Blue Bell which was delicious. There are all sorts of places to explore very close and the beach at West Wittering is delightful although the road there does get extremely busy on sunny days! From the pretty village of Itchenor you can take a small pedestrian ferry boat to the other side of the harbour inlet and walk to Bosham where the Saxon church is lovely and the pub does excellent fish and chips. Chichester is an interesting and historic town to explore as well as the Roman remains at Fishbourne. Bignor Roman villa is much smaller but the mosaics are well worth visiting as is the delightful countryside around it on the South Downs - pretty villages, unspoilt valleys and woodlands with, at this time of year, lots of bluebells. All in all a super holiday spot in a great cottage which we would highly recommend."

"We all liked this cottage, in fact my son and his three children thought it the best we've stayed at so far. (Do beware of the sloping ceilings upstairs as I gave my head a fearful whack in the bathroom.) The cottage is lovely and the garden a real pleasure. The summerhouse and outdoor toys, including the little boat, went down very well with my youngest granddaughter. The cottage is conveniently situated in a quiet road and it's very handy having shops nearby. There are also many good places to visit within a short drive such as Staunton Country Park and The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum. The leisure centre at Chichester is great for a family swim. West Wittering is a safe sandy beach, but try not to leave at the same time as everyone else to avoid a long wait to get out of the car park.As I'm a grandma with a small car it was rather inconvenient to have to bring our own bath and hand towels but the cottage was very well equipped in other ways and it was a very pleasant and relaxing place to stay."

"The cottage location was excellent with many attractions very near. However, we were disappointed with some of the furniture. Both the dining chairs and sofas were well worn and uncomfortable to sit on for long periods. The matresses, in the twin room, did not fit the bases and moved around leaving a gap for the pillows to fall in. We only used the twin room and found it very cramped with little room to walk around, it was not realy big enough for twin beds and wardrobe. For some reason they left the doors of the kitchen and lounge? and there were instructions all around the cottage, like they have in hostels, reminding you to turn something off or explaining how to open and close windows and doors. The shower was a good size but the wash hand basins were small and difficult to wash in. There was plenty of equipment in the kitchen and the garden was well maintained, parking was easy and the area was very quiet and peacefull. We did not think it was four star accomodation."

"A lovely town with picture postcard views, easy to get to Portsmouth and Chichester by bus or car. Down side is if you have two cars like we did with 6 adults the car park behind the house only allow parking for 4 hours during the day. 4 days we all used the bus service (bus passes) and the long term car park the other side of town which is cheap enough per day but you have to put a new ticket on daily before 8am every day. Cottage good for families with a nice large main bedroom but the two other bedrooms are a bit small for 6 adults. Kitchen, Lounge and dining room are a descent size. Beware though of the trip hazard into the kitchen area with a slight rise onto the kitchen floor tiles."

"Very comfortable and well equipped in a lovely quiet location..... just what we needed. This is one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in, and we usually stay in at least 2 a year. Difficult to think of any areas that could be improved as it had everything we needed, was well laid out and had comfortable furniture. There are some good flat walks from the door, and pubs and cafes close by. The local CO-OP is quite small and pricey, but about a 15 min walk if you just need a few items. The large Tesco at Chichester is better for stocking up."
