"From the moment we arrived at this beautifully appointed house I knew we were in for a very special stay. The memory of entering through the gates into the calm oasis of beautiful garden and the sparking pool is still one that make me sigh with happiness! Saumur en Blanc is immaculately presented and (much to my husband’s delight) every conceivable culinary whim catered for. It is very rare to find such a well equipped house in our experience. The accommodation is spacious and the beds incredibly comfortable. While it did feel like a home from home, it was more like a dream home from home - such attention to detail and wonderfully serene interior. Saumur is a super town to visit with much to keep you busy - the Chateau is worth a visit but we also just loved strolling around the medieval streets soaking up the atmosphere, ice cream in hand. We were only in the region for a week but visited Puy de Foy (about 90 minutes drive away) which, for us, is a must if in the area - just fantastic (get there early and aim to stay as late as possible in order to make the most of your day). Closer to ‘home’ the horses of the Cadre Noir were also well worth a visit. We spent time visiting local markets and purchased wonderful local fresh produce to take home - making much use of the super gas barbecue. While the home and surrounding environment were spot on, we felt that the key to the success of our holiday was our host - Deena. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome and throughout our stay no question, restaurant recommendation, or idea for what to, do was too much for her. Deena’s recommendations were fantastic - do ensure you write them all down as there are so many super ideas in order to enhance your Saumur experience. Thank you Deena. Your beautiful home and guidance was just what our family needed.”"

"When we got to the park, we were expecting the worst. The reception building and the apartments around it are dated and dirty / poorly maintained. The reception was chaotic and clumsy. Staff spoke poor English, we poor French that it is not made any easier. Resulting in a long line of tourists who wanted to check. Also, not all houses in order ... Fortunately those of us though. The house was neat, clean, big enough for 4 adults and 2 children. The kitchen fully anticipated. But here again outdated and some things need replacing. The couch in the living room was poor, the dishwasher did not work, refrigerator door closed very hard and we had almost no water pressure. If someone was in the shower and the toilet was flushed, the water pressure was completely gone. Also, it is a bit strange that you fill with a list of the complete inventory should continue making the things that are present in the house. After reporting is the handyman, who was extremely friendly and helpful, dishwasher, refrigerator and will restore water pressure. After the repairs we start enjoying our holiday. We had a cottage, located on the five cities"

"We stayed at Saumur en Blanc for an idyllic week this past June. We were seeking accommodation that had a pool and a chef's kitchen that would allow us a moderate journey each day to visit one of the fabulous Loire Chateaux. When we researched the town of Saumur and found it had lots of recommended restaurants, we bypassed the chef at home option, Big Mistake. When fully explained by the owner, we found that the chef that would have cooked for us, would be the same chef who cooked for us at the fine restaurants in town. The restaurants were really good, so imagine having them cook in house. The homeowner gave us wonderful advice on restaurants and wine tastings, also recommended which and how many of the chateaux to visit...everything exactly as suggested. The kitchen in the villa is beyond anything we've ever had in a rental. It is beautifully equipped with every conceivable appliance and gadget...you needn't bring anything from home. Fabulous pool in a very private oasis - right in the middle of town. A fantastic villa, we highly recommend."

"We had invited 26 guests to join us for our wedding celebrations. WOW! What a fantastic time we all had. The properties are all beautifully clean & ready for us on arrival. The pool is spectacular, large clean, with plenty of sun beds for all to relax on. The ground are quite extensive, with large areas of gardens, a super large, shaded area where we were spoilt with eating all our meals " al fresco". Roger, was always on hand if we needed a help with moving tables etc, and was a friendly & knowledgeable local. We would highly recommend this property for large groups, or families, as the space available for everyone to spread out is available. May, the owner, was always very helpful in our communications, and always kept us up to date within the booking process. The property, its surroundings, the local village, the weather, the food & drink, all made for the most fantastic long weekend. It all exceeded our quite high expectations. Thank you May & Roger, we were overwhelmed with the experience. David & Julie Stockbridge UK"

"The house was disappointing in several respects. It was not clean, very dark, very basically furnished, kitchen utensils were missing, broken or very dated. About the cleaning and things that were broken, we have the following which were given feedback at the reception. The answer was thank you for the feedback, we do nothing. The terrace of the house was small, directly adjacent to a high row of trees and the central parking lot. There was basically no sunlight on the terrace. There are definitely nicer houses situated on the park. And perhaps better equipped. The houses are privately owned, the park is managed by madam vacances. There is WIFI at the reception, but it works very poorly. From the pool and the restaurant we were definitely pleased. The restaurant has good food and quality / price ratio is good. What stood out there are many families with young children at the park, but this are hardly any facilities."
