What our customers are saying about our Bank Holiday Cottages In Pays De La Loire To Rent.

"The cottage is in a beautiful location and both the hosting chateau and the cottage itself are extremely attractive and in spacious surroundings. The pool is a huge bonus and formed a central part of our holiday. The cottage is well equipped with a small but adequate kitchen although there are few saucepans. Sadly, we were not warned beforehand that the water supply is not controlled. We were assured that it is good to drink but there were several notices warning that tap water must not be drunk. The big problem comes with seating. The cottage caters for six people but neither of the two sitting rooms (one upstairs and one down), has sufficient armchair seating to accommodate six people. the downstairs room has a two seater sofa and a single armchair and the upstairs sitting room has a single three seater settee and a hardbacked armchair. This is the room where the TV is and viewing is not a pleasant experience. Seating at the table accommodates six but there is barely room to extend the table owing to other furnishings. Seating outside is adequate but uncomfortable. Beds were comfortable and are spread across three rooms, with a double in one room and two singles in two separate rooms. Sadly, despite a combined charge of €150 being made for cleaning and for the use of towels, neither towels nor bedding was changed during our two weeks. We were able to wash the towels but were stuck with the bedding for a full two weeks. Really, especially in the relatively warm environment, bedding should be changed weekly. The clear inference from the kitchen equipment is that outside living is indicated and a good barbecue was provided, together with outside tables/benches. The seating in the shade area on the east-facing side of the cottage is a very pleasant place to sit throughout the day, despite the fairly uncomfortable chairs - again, space for a maximum of five. Unfortunately, outside living was made quite difficult for all of us by a huge number of wasps that spoiled attempts to eat outside, particularly for the children. Our stay was marred by an absolutely appalling internet connection with woeful wi-fi. One of our party was completely unable to get a connection and the rest of us suffered poor bandwidth and patchy connection. Locally, in Bouere village, there is a very good boulangerie and épicerie and a few miles away, on the outskirts of Sable-sur-Sarthe is a very good Super-U supermarket with attached filling station. Waste and recycling must be taken to the collection point on the outskirts of Bouere and that means loading it into your car boot and taking it to the collection point. There are no effective facilities at the cottage for sorting recycling but it only needs to be separated into glass and other forms (cardboard/paper/metal/plastics)."

"The cottage location was great about a 10 minute walk to the beach and bakeries. The local supermarket was fab and also nice and close to the cottage. The cottage was very clean the private courtyard was fantastic and very much needed due to shared space. The down sides: we found out that the pool is actually a shared pool with the owners and it’s in their garden which we didn’t know about until we arrived. Had we known this we properly wouldn’t of booked this cottage. We were looking for a private non shared pool and could have found something else cheaper in the area if we had known this. There were no written rules for the pool usage, re times it can be used and this needs to be addressed. Also pictures on the website showed a BBQ however, there was no BBQ available, we have bought one and left it hopefully for the other people to use. The master bedroom bed were very uncomfortable. It would also be nice if some extra cutlery were added with knifes that sharp. Overall nice holiday, but felt expensive for little comfort and what ended up very little pool time for the kids."

"Upon entering our home, we bumped into a dining table with chairs, actually too big for the space. The two banks were quite substantial and were placed so that there were only three seats. Poor lighting or not, we slide running with lights. And it was dirty. My shoes were within minutes of white sand or dust ??? And no broom, or a hand brush with hair glued together, so sweep was not an option. In a corner was dirt in a heap. There was also only a joke with emmer.Tuintafel dirty from bird droppings and green chairs in the wet. We cleaned brought their own kitchen cloth. Above it was not clean, but the floor we did not use. The bathroom (bath-basin) and kitchen were clean. Fridge was pretty cold, microwave and toaster didnt piece, also received no news. The oven worked well. The whole thing was cheerless. And ... we are not used to eat sitting on a couch with a coffee table. The dining room was very unstable, the seats are not appropriate, too low, and we were afraid to sit on the chairs, legs here and there "loose". The view of a piece of golf with exit point was fun, but ni"

"The house looks very good from the outside but is really below par. Everything is terribly dated, the beds are small and old, the kitchen is very dated and filthy. Black mold edges on the fridge, dirty tablecloth on the table and we hit a lot of mice in the (also very dated) washing machine in the garage. There is no useful pan in the house, all kitchen utensils are old and used up. The kettle was too dirty to touch. Only bathroom and toilet were refurbished and nice and clean. We spent the first few hours trying to make the house as comfortable as possible and cleaning up the mice's keys in the garage, we bought mouse poison and put it in the garage (it was indeed eaten). Furthermore, the house has the nasty habit of cracking at night terrible, our night's sleep in combination with the small and old, through bed, not too good. We therefore left for a hotel 2 nights earlier than planned, to refuel."

"Excellent apartment on the ground floor, so with a garden outside the door overlooking the golf course. Interior of the apartment is fine (in our light blue), shame there is no microwave present, only one oven. The beds are on the hard side, but that went without saying. The exterior of the property is a lick of paint to, pity it is not tracked. During our stay, the garden is completely refurbished, which showed a lot better. A very nice pool for the door. Distance to St. Gilles Croix de Vie is a bit far, but all in all we had a great vacation, especially because we both play golf and there we can have great use with a golf pass for a week. Very nice staff behind reception, we could ask anything."
