"Stayed at this cottage for a few days in February/March to get away from the daily house/work/house routine and it was just great, you don’t’ even have mobile reception – added bonus. We were greeted by the owner, who presented us with milk and eggs in the fridge (they were a lifesaver), and were immediately left to our own devices since he told us that we could walk pretty much everywhere. The cottage location, at the end of a narrow lane and a dirt road could not have been better. Being surrounded by forest, river and sheep is one of the most tranquil settings you’ll ever find, with plenty of good local walk routes. Inside, it has a very “home” like felling, with spacious rooms, bathroom and mezzanine with Velux windows, feather duvet, all the crockery and cutlery utensils that you’ll need for self-catering with the wood burning stove adding a special touch."

"The perfect get away from it all. The walking is perfect follow the stream up the valley to a waterfall. The food in the two local pubs is superb. Small shop within 10 minutes and supermarkets in Oswestury about 30 minutes away. Bala about 30 minutes Bets e cowed about 1hr. The access to the accommodation is through a gate over a small bridge then up through the fields via a single track that is shared with Pheasant and sheep don't worry the sheep will move out of your way just drive at them. They will not move if you stop. If you have a sports car it's not the track for you. But if you have a 4x4 or normal car you will be fine. Would I go back yes I would would I recommend yes I would. Water supply is from a boar hole with a first class filtration system so no issues with drinking the water better than any town water."

"Our family enjoyed their stay at Morton Grange and the owners kindly supplied extra fans for the hottest day of the year! The cottage is well appointed but worth noting a few things:Fridge and Freezer way too small for family of six.Only King bedroom is served by a reduced height access bath tub (no shower) so didn't work for my 6ft 1" partner. The rule about showering before entering hot tub would be best observed by installing an outside shower otherwise, wet puddles from one of two showers in the house. My adult children were somewhat critical of the hot tub, lights, jets etc do not work just an FYI.There is also a sign stating "no noise after 10 PM" that seems a little Draconian for a holiday let, no respite even at weekends?Overall, 8/10 but please heed the above to make it a solid 10/10."

"Had a very nice break at the Graig Las cottage with a group of friends. The place is so remote there is no telephone signal - which is a bonus. there is however wifi in the cottage which was good for staying in touch. The owners are very friendly, they live in the same site but its as if they are not there at all, they let you do your own thing but at the same time they are there to offer help and advice. Our van got stuck in the mud and they were very happy to assist and tow us away. thank you guys, you are amazing! i adopt all the other positive comments that have been made by previous reviews. Definitely would recommend this gem of a place."

"Hart Cottage had everything we needed for a lovely break. The cottage was well laid out and spacious and I could quite happily have stayed longer. On arrival the very narrow private lane to get to the cottage was a concern but this caused me no issues. There was very little traffic using this lane and the parking space for the cottage was more than adequate. It was so quiet around the cottage and allowed a wonderfully peaceful break for all of us.There were a good range of amenities in Ellesmere and some wonderful walks by the lake and canal.I would definitely recommend and will be booking again!!"
