"Peep O Day is a modern, well appointed, spacious and clean holiday let.Pretty much everything you need for your stay is catered for – from kitchenware to games and books (if the weather's bad). It comfortably sleeps six (4 up and 2 down) in comfortable beds, although the large size of the upstairs bedroom could have warrented maybe a kingsize bed. The underfloor heating makes the barn cosy at all times and all rooms feel light and airy. The location is pretty good and within 30-40 mins drive of most of the Peak District attractions. There are some great walks, cycle trails (and views) just outside the front door, although the nearby road can get busy and the noise was noticable for us in the 1st floor bedroom. Some good local facilities such as 'The Chippy at Chinley' and 'Tea on The Green' also in Chinley and the 'George Hotel' at Hayfield for a local pint and good, honest food. All in all, Peep O Day is a very good, relaxing place to spend some time in the Peak District."

"A little gem of a cottage in a great location for exploring the Peak District. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners to make sure your stay is as pleasurable as possible. Very well equipped with everything you need, tea and coffee with a pint of milk in the fridge was a lovely touch upon arrival, and the large green chest full of doggie beds, bowls and toys was a lovely surprise. Plenty of lovely dog walks right on the doorstep. The only minor issues my wife and I found, was that the mattress was a little too soft for our liking as we both suffer from back problems, and the ticking of the clock on the upstairs landing was a little on the loud side. A highly recommended little home from home for your exploration of a lovely part of the world."

"We enjoyed a very pleasant week in The Barn. The open-plan living area works well, as does the downstairs bedroom and bathroom for those who find stairs a challenge. The main and gallery bedrooms upstairs have plenty of floor space and although not all of it is accessible due to the sloping roof, this is part of the character. The en-suite is a relatively recent addition and makes the property viable for six people and the table-tennis room is a nice touch. These are lovely views from the living area and several public footpath routes are available pretty much from the back door. Beyond this, most of the key Peak District tourist stops are within an hour away, including Alton Towers, so a good base for exploring the region."

"The cottage is very conveniently situated for walking and exploring the local area of High Peak. Although within a short distance of a noisy & busy road this does mean you can easily access villages nearby for shopping and food when you don't want to walk, (although a large supermarket chain found us easily for my pre ordered groceries)I chose the cottage as much for its design as its location: it is of a modern open plan barn construction with a vaulted double height ceiling to the main lounge with large French doors to enable you to access and enjoy the views. The cottage is warm and well appointed with only a few minor issues which are easily rectified by the owners and do not need to be mentioned here."

"What a wonderful welcome from mine hosts. Cottage is fully equipped and we were sad to not have got another dog with us (ours died recently). Dogs are as welcome as humans. Garden at the back secure as well. We were extremely comfortable there. In fact we wished we could have stayed longer. Walking boots next time.....The Peak District on our door step.....what’s not to like. Only problem, for us, was that the places we wanted to visit were at opposite ends of the area. Also none of pubs in Whaley Bridge were open in the afternoon. We were blessed with good weather.Highly recommend this cottage to dog owners and non dog owners alike. Thanks Carl and Carol."
