"Lovely little village. New farm shop 2 miles away which is great. Owners quick to respond and had kindly agreed to us arriving earlier ( 1.15) if we needed too.Cottage...Bathroom in need of an overhaul. Not able to use bath due to faulty hot water tap ( no water coming out). Strong unpleasent smell of urine coming from around toilet floor which could not be missed. Owners made aware of smell and problem with bath straight away ( not sure how the problems were missed by cleaner or owners when they were there just prior to our arrival) They came round promptly to try and fix but could not. They did not want to inconvenience us with a plumber coming out during our stay. Whilst they did come out and we agreed to no plumber, it did spoil the stay. Owners have arranged for tap to be mended and the flooring is to be changed. It would have been nice if a gesture of goodwill had been offered to acknowledge the inconvenice. Owners are friendly. They are making improvmemts. Wood burner in lounge is nice and warm. Although it does say that fuel and electric ( electric radiators and oven) is provided, you need to supply own logs and coal etc. Best get from farm shop. Garden is lovely and had the weather allowed we would have enjoyed sitting out in it. Would we stay again ? No. We booked last minute so choice was limited. Not fault of owners. Owners very quick to respond and are keen to make sure work is done."

"Stated that we wouldn’t stay here again -the distance from our home was a problem which obviously is our problem not yours. The main reason was that I’d booked a house with Superfast Broadband as I knew my son needed to work while his family were with us. The internet was not good at all, it kept stopping and this meant in the end that my son and family had to leave on the Tuesday evening, which upset the grandchildren and us.The house was nice and clean with good beds, bedding, towels etc and plenty of crockery and kitchen equipment but the sofas in the lounge were not comfortable, very short in depth and length and not enough seating for 8 of us in the evening when we were all together."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage it has all the amenities you could want although as a mum I would have liked a washing machine! It was lovely to sit in the conservatory in the morning and look out onto the gorgeous well kept garden and in the evening with a cold glass of wine. The most local pub is the crows nest Inn & we enjoyed a couple of very nice meals there it is about a 20 minute walk from the cottage. We can also thoroughly recommend Inkies smokehouse at golithafalls which was pretty amazing!!This is a fantastic base to explore this part of Cornwall and such a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of every day life and would highly recommend this cosy cottage."

"Absolutely loved knowle farm cottage. Stayed for a week with our family. Cottage was spotlessly clean with so much space and great location in fantastic grounds. Our two grandsons loved it seeing the horse each morning when we got up and the dogs who would often pop by for a morning fuss. Steve and Annie were perfect hosts. Steve was fantastic with the boys and such a friendly guy. Just a short drive to Bude where there is a fab beach and shops, pubs, cafes etc. Lovely walks along the canal into Bude. Perfect holiday at knowle farm cottage. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a nice peaceful location with Bude on the doorstep"

"This is in a fabulous location just 5 minutes stroll from a wonderful sandy beach with cafe, surf hire, toilets etc plus easy access to routes to Port Isaac, Tintagel, Padstow and only a short (10mim) drive from Bude. It had everything you need and we received a warm welcome with flowers and muffins on arrival. But it was chilly while we were there and the bungalow felt a little cold/damp with only one electric plug in heater. To be fair, it was end of the summer but I would check the heating situation before booking for winter."
