What our customers are saying about our Group Accommodation Cottages In Normandy To Rent.

"The cottage was lovely mostly, very spacious living and kitchen area, although kitchen had lots of utensils but lacked in the basics such as knives etc. We were a group of six, two couples and our two daughters who were hoping to have separate bedrooms, however upon arrival we found that the advertised twin bedroom was locked up and our daughters had to share a bed which was basically a bed settee, not exactly ideal and wasn't what was we expected, which was quite disappointing. The downstairs bathroom was really quite nice however if you used the shower it completely soaked the whole room. The upstairs shower looked great but only worked on the hand held shower setting and again soaked the whole room. The pillows in the bedrooms weren't brilliant and could do with being replaced. We did have a lovely time but it wasn't exactly as it was advertised and the are things that could be updated."

"This is an expensive holiday let, but you get what you pay for - everything is very high end and every last detail has been attended to in the renovation of a wonderful old house. The heated pool is impeccably clean and the children barely left it the whole week we were there. The only negative was that we couldn't get the larger of 2 ovens on the professional range to work, but the smaller oven saved the day and in any event, weather permitting, you'll want to be outside BBQing whenever you can. There isn't too much to do in Gournay-en-Bray, but the food shops (bakeries, butchers and greengrocers) are outstanding for a town of this size and if you're spending this much on your holiday home, you'll likely want to make the house the focus of your stay anyway.3 generations of my family enjoyed the luxurious setting of this wonderful house - we will be back!"

"A Lovely stay in Chez Norbert. Plenty of room for all of us (4 adults 1 child). The extension is lovely. It has plenty of equipment there, and is very quirky. Its a shame one of the rooms is so big as the other room upstairs didn't have anywhere to hang clothes, apart from some hooks... maybe a rail would be a good idea as the cupboards are just shelves. The gite itself is in an excellent location however, not far from Rouen, which is a great place to visit. Use the park and ride, its great (save your bus ticket and swipe it at the machine after putting your parking ticket in, this gives you free parking, which isn't very clear when you are there) We also went to Paris for the day, which only takes 1hr 20 mins from Rouen station. We also visited Deauville and Honfleur, both of which are well worth a visit! All in all a lovely half term break"

"We are a couple in our late sixties, plus one dog. This is the second time we have stayed at Chez Norbert. This is quite a large property which could sleep 6 set in a large, closed off garden (good for a wandering dog) within a short walking distance of the river Seine. It is good for us because it is a short distance from the Eurotunnel. The property is in a quiet location and there are ample opportunities for dog walking. There is a nearby ferry to take your car to the other side of the river at no cost, a local village with a well stocked supermarket and a boulangerie for bread and cakes. A few miles away you'll find a hypermarket. We were able to visit Fecamp, Honfleur, Rouen & Monet's garden. The proprietor was a nice French lady and with her bits of English and our bits of French we made ourselves understood."

"The chateau is in a beautiful location with a nice view. It is spacious and atmospheric. Some beds were a bit hard and the kitchen is small. Fortunately, we are working on a new kitchen. With 18 people we had a lot of space and we hardly saw the children. They were either outside on the tennis court or in one of the 3 playrooms. The welcome was very friendly and helpful. We received a lot of information and if things were not right, they were immediately resolved. In the area there are many interesting things to do, from walks directly from the chateau to a visit to the D-day beaches. Supermarket and many beautiful shops (bakery, fish shop, delicacies) at 5 minutes drive. This place and the chateau are highly recommended!"
