What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Norham To Rent.

"Very helpful staff, and great cottages in a lovely quiet location. The downsides of a country location were that it took a little longer to travel the country roads to other Northumbrian attractions around the coast. Of the cottage itself - a few spiders had taken up residence in two of the shower units despite the otherwise immaculate facilities. Although the adverts describe the swimming pool and games room, the hours of use were a little restrictive in that they were not available after 7pm. We understood the Health and Safety restrictions on using the pool, but it would have been nice to be able to use the games room and/or snooker table in the evening. We would most definitely use the cottages from this owner again - but might chose to stay at their other site at Seahouses"

"We cannot thank you enough for the amazing wedding that you gave us. We have been overwhelmed with the amount of praise from our guests as they say it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The help with the organization of the wedding the run up to it was exceptional. The food was outstanding... the staff very friendly, helpful and professional the whole weekend and it was lovely having David around and helping out. The castle is kept to an exceptional standard, very clean and a delight to stay in. We were hoping that it was going to be the best day of our lives and it exceeded all our expectations. Thank you so very much. The castle and the owners will always be incredibly special to us."

"A quite remote place. Mainly for hill walkers or bikers. But even for not so active visitors there is a lot to see round about. Local villages are worth a look at, different styles of villages from most in the borders. Good pub in Kirk Yetholm, and another at Town Yetholm. Half hour drive to Berwick, try a train trip from there to Edinburgh, or go to Galashiels and have a trip on the on the Borders Line. Fish and chips at Eyemouth, justifies the drive. Kelso is stepping up the pace now. Well set up with shops and cafes. Nice flat, handy for getting about, well equipped. Only the rehearsals for ‘Strictly’ upstairs to set up a creaking and groaning. But not often. We liked this place."

"This is a comfortable, well equipped cottage with a view to die for. The owners are gracious and helpful hosts, and collected us and delivered us back to the train. We eat in a lot on holiday (as one of us is a coeliac) but there is a good, frequent bus service to both M&S simply food and Asda. We managed very well with the kitchen equipment and utensils. Wonderful walks along the beach and up to the coastal path - saw a pod of porpoise three nights and a mother otter and pups running along the shoreline just past dusk. Very quiet with just the waves to lull you to sleep. A very nice place to stay, and a refreshing change since we were there in the midst of the heat wave."

"A lovely time away..... very peaceful and secluded position just north of Wooler. Excellent pub (10 min walk), excellent food and service. 30 mins to the beautiful coast and dunes. We were there for a trip for my Dad (aged 85) to track down any living relatives - not many ! But we managed lovely trips to Bamburgh, Seahouses, Newtown (Ship Inn), Berwick, Alnwick and Edinburgh. Also Scottish Border villages. I have to say that we all slept very well, even the extremely vocal dawn chorus was "blotted out" by day two...!Excellent comms from the owner and the local caretaker, we can't fault anything. Go for the local produce (excellent local beers and cheese) ! Enjoy !!"
