"This was a beautiful place to stay. Very spacious, and well thought out. The location was ok, not much to do with a 5 year old though. This is a working farm and there were quite a few tractors etc coming and going passed the front window which my son enjoyed. However if the sun was out and I were sitting in the garden, it could become a little annoying with the disruption. I would suggest making a different entrance route. Debbie was fantastic, very helpful and accommodating. The fresh eggs were wonderful along with the cake which was there on arrival. This accommodation was ideal as there is a separate living room so if there are more than one family sharing, it's great as you can get a little space if you need it. Also, the upstairs is laid out very well with master bedroom ensuite at one end of the building and a double and twin room at the other end with family bathroom. There is also an additional bathroom with shower in the entrance hall so plenty of facilities. The nearby Blairgowrie is nice, and we also made a trip to Pitlochry which is one of our favourite places. The only disappointment was that from the description, I thought the games room was in the house and not in an outside barn area. I think it has potential to be a great games room but is obviously a work in progress. On saying that my 5 year old son loved it. Thanks for a good week :-)"

"Beautiful old house in the centre of Coupar Angus. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. There’s a lovely lawned area at the front and an enclosed yard at the back. The dining kitchen is lovely just the drawer runners need replacing. Personally I would ditch the tumble dryer and replace with a dishwasher but that’s just me. The bed was really comfortable too. Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms in the house. We never used the games room but it looked adequate, surely you don’t go on holiday to play games in a house! Everyone was really friendly and there were good dog walks and a lovely park. Great place to base yourself. The village was lovely with good amenities, plenty of shops for your groceries including butchers, bakers, chemists and co-op plus petrol station, and there are numerous places to visit all around from the east coast with it’s lovely places like Arbroath, and then the gorgeous beaches, plus the glens and the nature reserves like Loch of the Lowes and the Montrose basin. You have Dundee and also Perth if you need to be in cities. We loved it all. Perhaps a bit pricey for a couples holiday but it’s your choice. There was only 2 of us plus dog and we would return in a flash to Croft Bank. The weather was kind to us but you shouldn’t rely on good weather for a break in the uk, you can holiday here whatever the weather."

"Great property - really felt like a home from home. Everything that we needed was there. Warm and cosy - a real fire would make the property complete. The beds were very comfy and we all slept very well. We did find it quite hard to find in the dark when we arrived but got there in the end. Lovely welcome tray - very much appreciated. The location was great - we didn’t drive more than an hour to get to anywhere we wanted to see. Glamis Castle was lovely - the American tour guide was fantastic. Edradour Distillery was a good trip out - just outside Pitlochry so we were able to do places in one day. St Andrews is only about an hours drive away and well worth a visit - great shopping. Smokies from Arbroath have to be tasted - gorgeous for breakfast. We didn’t see the owners at all during our visit but we had no problems. Our dog felt very at home in the enclosed back ’yard’. We had great weather for our visit - snow already on Glenshee! Coupar Angus has is a really compact town with all the shops we needed. A large Tesco is available in Blairgowrie. The Indian restaurant in Coupar Angus got really good reviews - being from the current curry capital (Bradford) that is an excellent recommendation. Oct 2011. "

"Although the cottage was nice the picture is totally deceptive as it is in the block of buildings with no view whatsoever and down a small backstreet alley. The area has a food processing plant nearby and therefore has a constant unpleasant smell, like rotting food all the time. Also there needs to be some essential repairs done on the kitchen draws, the oven needs cleaning big time or the thermostat needs repairing, as everytime we tried to use it black smoke would come from it and it would just burn the food. Also my husband had to keep repairing the curtains in the master bedroom on-suite as they kept coming off the track. However, the owners were nice people and had made a batch of scones which they left for us, along with some biscuits for our dog. The bedlinen was clean and there was a plentiful supply of towels and teatowels."

"Spent a week at Croft bank with my husband, elderly parents, son 16 yrs and our 2 yr dog Seamus. The property was clean and comfortable and was a great base for exploring Perthshire. The cottage had a gated back garden which was ideal for the dog. The owners' had recently added wi fi much to the relief of my son and the signal was good. The television however is freeview and at times the reception wasn't great but it still didn't interrupt our viewing. Plenty of hot water and the cottage was warm with the added bonus of a gas fire in the lounge area. The kitchen is well stocked but the oven can cook food too quickly so you have to be vigilant. There is no dishwasher - but this wasn't a problem either as I had brought my husband!! The nice thing about this cottage is that little items you tend to forget had been supplied."
