"The cottage was absolutely perfect and had anything and everything you could possibly need. The rooms were all very clean and spacious and the hot tub and games room were great, a quiet location not too far from local amenities. Hospitality upon arrival was very welcoming however after leaving we did have a dispute with the owner over "damage" caused to the property while we were there, which was potentially compromising the security deposit being refunded. I found a chip in the top step upon arrival and made a note on a form that was left for us by the owner but I did not immediately inform the owners (which was something that should have been done- I didn't realise). When we left I received an email saying the chip was not there on our arrival (it was, I was the first person to go upstairs) and that they'd also found and area where we had stuck something to the wall with blue tack - which we did not and would not, we didn't even have any blue tack. Due to these issues there were many emails back and forth which I found really stressful and completely ruined the break we had had. The place is wonderful to stay but the owners are not so easy to deal with if there are any problems with damage - even though it was not something we had done. We did receive our security deposit back as the owner claimed her workmen had agreed to rectify the problems for free which meant we received an email in full."

"This was our second visit to Pen Copi and although it is set in a beautiful location the cottage itself now feels extremely tired. Obviously it is Avery old cottage and you would expect certain things not to be as you would find in a more modern cottage, however there were things that could have made it more enjoyable. For example I did comment last year on the very old cooker, this was still the same this year so it could definitely do with upgrading and it could also do with more baking trays etc. Although the sink in the bathroom has been replaced, the towel rail is still hanging off the wall and the walls itself are peeling and flaking paint very badly, as they were last year, presumably as this appears to be rated it has been tested for asbestos? The bathroom floor was very dirty with an obvious build up over time. A shame these things have not been addressed as the cottage and location are fabulous."

"The house was spacious, spotless and set in a wonderful location in Mid Wales. with ample room it accommodated our family group of 10 with ease with beds and bedrooms to spare. the hot tub well wonderful to relax in during the evenings after long walks during the day.I took my family there to relax at half term and it proved the ideal venue, the kitchen had everything one needed to feed large groups with some local pubs serving some decent food as well. Jen the owner or her sons called in most days to service the hot tub and provided a mine of local information.there was also a large games room for the younger children to enjoy.i thoroughly recommend this house for a relaxing holiday for folk of all ages."

"Lovely little cottage, we didn’t quite realise how small it was but really is a beautiful little place in a perfect position. It’s a quirky little property and would not be suitable for young children or people with less mobility as you do have to climb into upstairs toilet through a big window! Really enjoyed the outside space, could of done with a few more bits of furniture out there but other than that the space is amazing. The dogs absolutely loved it and the owner was especially accommodating leaving bowls and a bed for our dog! A beautiful lemon drizzle cake was also left for us on arrival. Hosts definitely make the effort to make the stay as good as possible! X"

"I had a really wonderful stay at this unique beautiful, peaceful & large house - very high standard of decor and comfort. Clean, well equipped and homey. Beautiful private gardens & location with great views; lovely conservatories to chill out in; various terraces to soak up the sun or sit in the shade; fabulous cosy evenings in on super comfy sofas in beautiful living room with lovely warm log burner. Fabulous large kitchen and choice of very nice dining areas! Great WiFi and physical access to lots of places to visit as well as pretty walks from the door. Very helpful but discreet hosts. Would highly recommend. The perfect place to relax and unwind!"
