What our customers are saying about our Two Bedroom Cottages In Minehead To Rent.

"An absolutely great week away. We loved staying at Bridicott farm. The location is spot on; you feel away from it all when you’re in the cottage as there’s nothing else around, yet it’s only 10 minutes from Minehead and lots of other amazing places. The cottage itself is quaint, quiet and charming. We had a fire on one of the evenings and it included everything you’d need. It has its own garden, complete with a chicken named Chickileta. She loved eating our strawberry tops and our daughter adored her. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, whilst allowing plenty of space for you to enjoy the cottage (we only saw them once and spoke to them on the phone). This was ideal for us as it made it feel like the cottage was ‘ours’ for the week. They also rang us one we’d left as they found a water bottle seal that may have been ours; this was a nice touch as I’m sure lots of other places wouldn’t have bothered. We’d definitely revisit Bridicott Farm and would recommend it to anyone wanting to get away, without being too far away from the Somerset action."

"The hosts, Tracy and Andrew, were lovely, very friendly and on hand if needed (we had problems with the wi-fi which were quickly sorted), but otherwise left us to enjoy the cottage. The cottage is exactly what you would expect for an old farm-workers cottage, but with all the equipment you could need. The water comes from a spring and is absolutely fine. The galley kitchen is tiny (two is a crowd!), but who spends their holiday in the kitchen? The location is stunning, with views down to the Bristol Channel and beyond to Wales. A walk up the (very steep!) hill behind the cottage takes you directly onto Exmoor with an amazing vista of hills rolling off into the distance. It is so peaceful, with just the everyday noises of a working farm (not at all intrusive) and the occasional distant whistle of a steam train as you watch it make its way along the coast. It’s lovely waking up to the baa-ing of sheep! We had a fabulous two weeks there."

"Stables Cottage is very overlooked front and back. No curtains everyone could see you in the kitchen, or going to the bedroom and bathroom. Couldn't open bathroom window as it went straight onto someones patio. No extractor fan in bathroom or kitchen, shower so outdated it made a very loud noise when in use. Double bedroom doors handle very stiff, twin bedroom door hard to close and awful lighting, plus smelt of damp. Not enough bath sheets more like hand towels provided. The drive outside was a mixture of pebbles, cobbles, slate some of which was loose and I tripped several times. Also caught my hand on gate to paddock twice. At night there was hardly ANY lighting at all so walking the dogs was a joke. Torch provided was useless. Owners seemed to be cutting hedges constantly. Would not go back but enjoyed gardens and pool ( although cold )."

"We have visited this cottage many times. The location is excellent, as you are out in the country, but within walking distance to Minehead. The grounds around the cottage are superb, particularly if you have a four legged friend with you, which we did. The cottage itself, has everything you need for a self catering cottage, but no wifi. The owners are very accommodating and friendly, always available if you have a query. The swimming pool area is a huge attraction, particularly if you have children. It is immaculately clean and surprisingly warm. We have always had a lovely time here and we recommend the steam train into Watchet for a lovely pub lunch. Many thanks to the owners, who have always made a huge fuss of our son and chocolate Labrador."

"The bungalow is very close to all amenities in Dunster but if you are not able bodied you might find the steps and footpath to the bungalow difficult as there is is no parking attached . However if you Google earth you can easily see the situation and there was only one day when we couldn't park easily due to school collection time. The bungalow is spacious, well equipt and comfortable. What let it down was the floors not being as clean as they should be, the garden needing attention and the outside paintwork, door and window seals were not clean with cobwebs and dust everywhere. The crockery was from IKEA which was fine but it was badly scratched and needed replacing. If those problems could be addressed, then we would love to return."
