"Perfect hideaway for two in the grounds of Myres castle. Excellent accommodation, tastefully decorated with high quality furnishings and decor. Warm and cosy lounge with a wood burning stove if required with a basket of logs and kindling provided. Very comfortable super king sized bed and gorgeous bathroom with deep roll top bath and shower - excellent for a romantic retreat. Kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The cottage is situated next to the gated entrance to the grounds and very close to the main road but traffic noise is very minimal and it does not disturb you at all. There is a lovely circular walk inside the grounds through woodland where you can see and hear wildlife including a badgers set. We found this property to be perfectly located to explore the Fife area with all attractions in easy travelling distance. I would highly recommend and would have no hesitation in a return visit. One tip: take a torchlight as it is very dark outside when returning to the property late at night if using the rear entrance."

"Have previously visited Lower Largo (my father's birthplace - the Selkirk connection). There is plenty to do in Fife and neighbouring counties no matter which direction you decide to go. Cardy House is a delight and very well equipped - even down to home made bread and jam.Simon and Becca have supplied everything that one is ever likely to need. The area is good for cycling, walking and swimming in the Firth of Forth (or in Leven Leisure Centre swimming pool nearby). Eat and drink in the Crusoe pub and The Railway Inn both about a ten minute walk away. There are plenty of small fishing villages in the East Neuk of Fife. The fish and chips in Anstruther or Pittenweem not to be missed. Buy any fresh produce, meat and lots of other products from the farm shops of which there are many. In a nutshell, definitely worth a visit Reversing into the drive is tight and there is a blind spot when leaving but the road outside is quiet so not really a problem."

"The cottage was nice and clean. The location was okay. We assumed the cottage was in Kinghorn but was actually on the outskirts of Kirkcaldy which disappointed us a little. Kirkcaldy golf course is lovely and my husband and son played a round there. We were very disappointed that the hot tub was not working for the whole time we were there as that was one of the reasons we booked this cottage. Although the owner was full of apologies and did try to get it fixed for us it did make our stay much less pleasurable especially when we came back from golf as it would have been lovely to relax in the hot tub. We felt the owner could have dealt with the situation better as we weren't even told about the hot tub not working before we arrived and no form of refund or other has been offered. After all the hot tub facility would have been included in the cottage cost."

"We Would holiday here again without a moments hesitation. The area is lovely with lots to do within an hours drive. Our stay in the lodge couldn’t have been more perfect. The accommodation is extremely comfortable, well equipped and easy to self cater in, had everything we needed ( gorgeous towels and bed linen, clean and high quality) and was of an exceptional finish despite being a very old building. We were left alone during our stay which gave us the peace and quiet we were looking for but our hosts were available should we have needed them. We didn’t have any problem with traffic noise from the road. The lodge is situated at the edge of beautiful woodland and we walked there everyday...lots of badger watching at dusk! An absolutely perfect place to stay. Thank you"

"A beautiful cottage in an idyllic location. The pictures online really don't do it enough justice. The little hamper that the family put together for us was just what we needed to help us wind down after a long journey up. The kitchen was fully equipped with all cooking utensils, cloths and washing liquid. There is a separate play room for the kids with lots of decent toys and board games which helped give the kids a space to play. The owners came to greet us and welcome us to the village which was a lovely touch. I'm from the area so know of most places to visit but they were on hand to advise if needed. By the end of our visit, we really didn't want to leave. We are already looking at when we can next book to stay and my parents have already booked it for 2 weeks time."
