What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Mawgan In Meneage To Rent.
Andrew - verified booking
"We were disappointed with our accommodation for the following reasons:1. The approach to the Barn is along a half mile, unmade track that had pot-holes and was very muddy. We accept that on a farm there will be mud, but the state of the track was unacceptable, particularly if one has a car with low clearance. Consequently it wasn't an access that one wanted to negotiate more than twice a day - no going out in the evening.2. We found the Barn somewhat 'soulless'. Although it was well furnished, it was cold and lacking in creature comforts.3. We have been to a great many holiday lets over the years and this is the first time I have had to buy washing-up liquid, salt and the very basics; it was also the first time that there has been no soap in the bathrooms.4. Because the Barn was difficult to heat, the only place to dry anything was in the tumble dryer (at great cost) so the insufficiency of towels became crucial.5. We have never before had to pay separately for electricity on top of what we thought was a relatively costly rental. We knew this before we went but didn't realise how dependant the Barn is on electricity, particularly for heating. The cost, we thought, was too great.6. There was no local information, ie on local footpaths, the gardens of Cornwall, bus time-tables etc, in the Barn. We had to spend some time acquiring this information for ourselves. A first for us."

"The standard of accommodation was superb. Bosgilly is in a very quiet spot surrounded by lovely private gardens with a stream at the bottom. Probably the only negative would be the driveway from the road down to Bosgilly which is very steep but we really didn't have any problem negotiating this once we knew what to expect. It is also very easy to find being well sign posted from the road, not from from Mawgan village centre and just a few yards from the Ship Inn. Many places on this stretch of coastline are easily reached from here so it is also very well positioned. One of the nicest we have ever stayed in."

"A lovely cosy cottage in a gorgeous location. Sian and Tobias were wonderful hosts; they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We were met with a welcome package including eggs laid by the resident hens and marshmallows to toast in the fire pit (much enjoyed by our children). Spent many hours in the heated outdoor pool - warm enough to swim in even in cooler summer weather. Had a fun week exploring the local area - beautiful beaches and coves within easy reach by car. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again."

"The cottage was clean with a comfortable bed, the owners left home made bread with Cornish butter and a few other essentials which was a really nice touch, they make an effort to present everything nicely. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Car park entrance is steep and tight and steps and stairs would be difficult for anyone with mobility problems. Overall a really nice place, and value for money."
